Great Luggage For Your Next Trip - a 4 Piece Luggage Set with Spinners

Updated on December 1, 2014

Four Piece Spinner Luggage Set

Before purchasing a luggage set we looked at various sets in the stores to evaluate options and prices as we hadn't purchased luggage in a long time. We also discovered how the spinner wheels allow you to roll the cases sideways which is often practical.

This is the set of luggage that we bought. Ours is Navy blue in color which looks nice and makes the set easy to identify on the rental car shuttle as so much luggage is black. The four different sizes offer what one or two persons need for most any travel itinerary. They arrive tightly packed inside each other like Russian nesting dolls. We liked the idea of these sizes to give us years of travel use. We had been using a mix of luggage for prior trips.

Our first experience with this luggage was using the first 3 sizes for a 3+ week excursion that was a combination air trip and road trip starting with a plane ride to Philadelphia. We then rented a car for a planned 1500 mile road trip along the U.S. East Coast.

The 18" and the 22" were just the right sizes for airline carry-on, though the larger of these barely makes the TSA cutoff for carry-ons. The 26" size we had lightly packed to be checked on the plane, while the largest case was left at home. This would allow for taking a few items that were too large for carry-on and ample room for goodies we might purchase along our trip.

During the road trip, we used the "carry-on" cases most of the time for our overnight stops, leaving the larger case in the car.

While this is by no means a high end set, we liked the durable construction, the spinner wheels and the handy mesh zipper pockets in each suitcase not always seen in low cost sets.
