1. Mysore Palace (Amba Vilas Palace), Mysore
Amba Vilas Palace is located in Mysore city of Karnataka. It is one of the most famous tourist attractions in India, after the Taj Mahal,. More than 6 million tourists visit the palace every year. The palace is an incredibly breathtaking example of Indo - Saracenic architecture. The palace was the seat of the Kingdom of Mysore and for almost 600 years (from 1350 to 1950), it served as the residence of the royal Wadiyar family of Mysore.
The palace is a visual treat at night. Dussehra is the state festival of Karnatka and is celebrated with great pomp and show for ten days. Mysore Palace is the epicentre of all the Dussehra festivities. The palace is illuminated with over 100,000 lights on all days of the festival. Various cultural programs highlighting the dance, music and culture of Karnataka are performed in front of the illuminated Palace.
Tourists come from far off places to see the light and sound show of the palace that starts from 7:00 PM and goes on till 7:45 PM. The entry fee for this night show is Rs. 40.
2. Amber Fort, Jaipur
Amber Fort in Jaipur is located at the outskirts of the city and sits majestically on the hills of Amber. Amber Fort is the pride of Jaipur and is a magnificent manifestation of Rajputana history. The fort is famous for its architecture, museum, Sheesh Mahal (Glass Palace) and rich history, which one can enjoy during the day. It also hosts a 50-minute specially curated light and sound show at night which is written by the famous Bollywood lyricist & poet Gulzar with the narrative of the fort’s glorious past voiced by Amitabh Bachchan. The striking play of lights along with the musicals highlights the rich history, folk culture and legends of Jaipur.It starts at 6:30 PM and goes till 9:15 PM. The night show costs around Rs. 295 per person.
3. Hussain Sagar Lake, Hyderabad
Hussain Sagar Lake is a popular tourist attraction in Hyderabad. The lake looks all the more serene and beautiful during night when the colorful lights of the city are reflected in its waters. The statue of Lord Buddha situated at the centre of this lake is illuminated at night and looks so divine. It is so calm and looks splendid at night.The view of the lake during night is the one that you will remember all your life. The lake opens at 8:00 AM and closes at 10:00 PM. There is no entry fee for the lake. You can also enjoy facilities like Mechanized Boat, Jet Ski Boat or Para Sailing at the lake which will cost you some money.
4. Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jodhpur

Visiting Taj Mahal during the night is indeed the best way to enjoy the splendour of this magnificent tomb. Taj Mahal is open to visitors during night for five days in a month i.e. on full moon night and two nights before and two after the full moon. Only 400 people are allowed in the complex on a single night. The tourists are not allowed inside the monument and can watch it only from a little distance. Night viewing for Taj is closed during Fridays and during the month of Ramzan.
7. Ambedkar Memorial Park, Lucknow
Ambedkar Memorial Park is a public memorial and park which is spread across 107 acres in Gomti Nagar, Lucknow. This majestic park is famous for a lot of attractions including the Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar Samajik Parivartan Sangrahalay, Ambedkar Stupa and Pratibimb Sthal among others. The park is worth a visit for its stupendous structure, architectural beauty, gigantic look and memorial attractions which can be enjoyed during the day time. Gajner Palace in Bikaner is a beautiful lakeside palace that is located right in the heart of the famous Thar Desert. The palace is built in red sandstone and is a perfect illustration of craftsmanship with its intricately carved pillars and jharokhas . It is situated amidst a thick forest and is located beside an artificial lake . An evening at this royal palace is simply amazing as the reflection of the Gajner Palace in the lake makes for a breathtaking sight. Folk programs are organized here in the evening which add to the beauty of the palace.
