When visiting London, one of the best things to do is to learn a little about the neighborhoods of London. This will help you avoid becoming lost in the city during your visit. Kensington is located in west London and is one of the trendier areas of the city. Notting Hill and Portobello Roadare popular areas of Kensington. In addition, Queensway is fairly close by and offers great hotels and restaurants. For those that love to shop, Whiteley’s shopping center is located in Kensington as well. Overall, Kensington is the place to stay for those that are looking for a trendy area ofLondonwith a lot of great shopping and dining.


One of the most popular London neighborhoods is Victoria. From Victoria you can walk to the area of Piccadilly and visit Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abbey. Some of the best restaurants in London are located in this area. For those looking for high end shopping,Victoria is the place to go. The London neighborhood of Soho is located nearTrafalgar Square and offers a variety of cafes, restaurants, and clubs for your enjoyment. Chinatown is considered a part of Soho as well. Trafalgar Square

Another popular destination is Nelson’s Column, which offers wonderful fountains and the famous lion statues, which are a favorite stop for locals and tourists alike.

There are many London neighborhoods that are worth visiting. It is recommended to stay in the neighborhood near the majority of the attractions that you wish to see and then use the tube and other public transportation to travel to other destinations within the city.
