In the Winter months in the southern part of Iceland the average is around 0C which is pretty mild for a country so close to the Arctic Circle, however in the Northern/Highlands part of Iceland the usual average is around -10C.
The population of Iceland its round 323,000 which is pretty low for a country slightly bigger than the Republic of Ireland which approximately has a population of 3 million. Most people who inhabit Iceland live mostly on the Western Coast e.g. Reykjavik which is the capital of Iceland.
Violent crime is incredibly rare in Iceland. Iceland is the safest place to visit for women, so Iceland is the perfect place to let yourself go. You won't have to worry about a thing.
The people in Iceland are extremely nice, people offer you rides. They say Hello. Almost all the time someone has a smile on their face which would brighten up your day instantly.
Geysers in Iceland are a must visit e.g. Strokkur, beside the Hvítá River. Iceland is one of the few places in the world that has Geysers.
