Accommodation in Tofino, B.C. is some of Vancouver Island’s most luxurious. Rental homes, apartments, guesthouses, and hotels are usually upscale with traditional west coast design. This means cedar features, rustic fireplaces, and seashell décor in abundance. On top of that, you typically wake up and fall asleep to the sight and sound of the ocean—it doesn’t get much better than that. But there’s one luxury that is often forgotten when finding accommodation in Tofino: A hot tub! Read on for the 6 reasons why finding accommodation with a hot tub is essential for your Tofino adventure:

1. The Weather

Tofino is the definition of traditional Pacific northwest weather. Humid, windy, cold. Even on your hottest summer’s day, that Pacific sea mist will chill you to the bone. Soaking in your hot tub is the best way of warming up, but allows you to still take in as much of that fresh Pacific air as possible.

2. You’re Already Paying a Lot to Stay in Tofino

It’s no secret that accommodation in Tofino is expensive, especially in the summer months. Considering how much you’ll be spending anyways, make sure you’re getting the best bang for your buck with a fabulous outdoor hot tub looking out on the rugged west coast.

3. You’re on Vacation – Treat Yourself

On top of being Canada’s surf capital, Tofino is also one of the most sought-after vacation spots in the world—what are you waiting for? You’re on vacation, and while Tofino’s waters, beaches, and forests are certain to refresh and rejuvenate you, there’s nothing quite as relaxing as a glass of wine or cold beer as you soak it up in your private hot tub.

4. You’ve Likely Earned It

Chances are, you’ll be spending most of your days outside. Hiking, getting beat up by waves while learning to surf, fishing, swimming… Your muscles will be rightfully aching, and nothing soothes like the heat and steam from your personal hot tub. Fall asleep rested that night, and wake up the next morning ready to take on your next outdoor adventure!

5. Hot Tubs = Friends

Everyone wants a friend with a hot tub, especially post-surf. You’ve made some acquaintances at your surf lessons during the day, and as soon as you casually mention you’ve got a hot tub, they’ll become life-long friends. Invite them over for an evening soak, and you’ll soon be hashing out plans for the night with your new gang!

6. Romance

Long walks on the beach, picnics in the sand, beautiful sunsets… Of course, Tofino is a major destination for a romantic getaway, anniversary, wedding, or engagement. Soaking in your private hot tub with a bottle of champagne is clearly the logical next step.

Tofino B.C. is a quaint surf town that will steal your heart on the far west coast of Vancouver Island.
