Adventure Holidays for Singles

Updated on January 3, 2016

There are thousands of adventure holidays for singles online, in fact all small group trips are perfect if you're single and would like to travel off the beaten track but not alone.

Many adventure seeking single people are wary of travelling alone, concerned that they might find themselves in difficulties and without support. They are people who crave excitement, but have a sensible head on their shoulders.

These solo adventure holidays are a safe option for women, and these small group travel experiences particularly welcome single women with a desire to travel adventurously.

Would you travel abroad alone?

It may be that your partner or friends can’t come with you because they have to work, or you may just want to use your vacation time to challenge yourself, be yourself, find yourself, and meet new people - as well as have new exciting experiences.

This does not mean that you have to live dangerously. Adventure is not the same thing as danger, however many people do report feeling safer when traveling in a small group and with an expert guide.

Solo adventure travel differs from traveling alone because being part of a small group puts you in a fantastic position to do the things that you would never be able to do on your own. You can relax and look forward to your holiday knowing that you will be in safe hands.

If you find yourself with a vacation approaching and you’re on your own, then this is the obvious solution. You won’t have to bother looking for someone to go with, all you have to do is decide where you want to go, and what you’d like to do while you are there.

The adventure travel companies like G Adventures and Macs Adventure will find you people with whom you can travel.

These are amazing adventure travel companies that are world leaders in developing responsible travel and sustainable tourism. They have literally hundreds of amazing small group trips that have been tried and tested. These are award-winning companies with expert experience in small group travel.

Me too! I think you'd get more out of a trip too, especially if you haven't much time. Thanks for your visit and comment.

Thanks for that Kristen. You know there are such deals out there, traveling is probably not as expensive as it sounds. But I get it - you do need money to do it safely.

I have no problems travelling solo in the US, but I would choose a tour group for going abroad. That is because I would not know the language or customs of other countries, and it's better to have a tour guide deal with visas and other hassles.

Great hub, Giovanna. I would love to travel alone, if I can afford it. The only way I travel these days is walking to downtown or to the gym or the local grocery store for exercise. Voted up for useful!

Interesting and informative hub about travelling alone.

I have traveled alone many times but mainly for work. and not for holiday or sightseeing purpose. I enjoy family vacations and travelling with family. But your suggestions are worth considering.

Very well done, thanks and voted up!

I do travel alone sometimes. When I want to take a break, I go. As long as you don't put yourself in situations such as staying so late at night, you are safe.
