Updated on August 14, 2013

Ibiza

Although the island of Ibiza is fairly small as it covers just 220 square miles; it is widely considered by young people to be the best place to party in the entire world. Ibiza is home to some of the most famous nightclubs, and hundreds of parties are held on this Mediterranean island every year. It is a popular destination for visitors from all over Europe including the UK, as the flight here from the UK only takes around two hours.

The type of holiday you wish to have in Ibiza will determine the town you choose to stay in. If you are looking for a party holiday you should choose an apartment in either the popular Playa d'en Bossa or San Antonio.
On the other hand if you are visiting the island as a family, then you would be better advised to stay in one of the more peaceful resorts in the North East area of the island. Good choices include the towns of Es Cana or Santa Eugenia.

Finding Apartments to Rent in Ibiza

Finding apartments to rent in Ibiza is a simple task as there are websites that put property owners in touch with tourists who would like to rent an apartment. All you need to do is find an apartment that you like the look of and then contact the owner via their website.

The cost of the villa or apartment you choose will basically determine the type of accommodation you can expect: The more you are willing to pay, the more luxurious your accommodation will be.

Remember you do not need to spend a fortune on Ibiza rentals if you're not planning on spending much time indoors. A young couple who want to enjoy the nightlife will probably find a studio flat is more than ample for their needs. This will usually consist of a one-room affair which is combined with a small kitchen. You will have a separate bathroom and probably a balcony where you can sit outside in the sun. Most studio flats will have a communal swimming pool for visitors' use.

If you are planning a family vacation you will probably need three or four bedrooms depending on the size of your group. A larger apartment will have a full-size kitchen, and usually at least two bathrooms. Or you could also take a look at renting a private villa, as you may be surprised that the difference in price is minimal, although you have far more space and very often a swimming pool that you do not have to share with anyone else.
