Famous Beaches and Backwaters of Kerala

The beaches and backwaters of Kerala are famous for their enchanting and captivating beauty. Kerala has a number of very long sandy beaches fringed by coconut palms, which always offer a mild, and cool breeze. The beaches of Kerala have facilities for variety of activities to satisfy all visitors – from swimming to sun set watching.

Kovalam

It is one of the most famous beaches of Kerala and the largest number of visitors arrive here to enjoy the thrilling sea shores of Kovalam. It offers catamaran rides, sunset watching, cycling on the beach and a variety of other activities. Panchakarma treatment, Ayurvedic health check ups and home stays are the other facilities available here. Kovalam is about 15 km from Thiruvananthapuram international airport.
