Vasco da Gama aka Vasco city is one of those wonderful west coast cities located in Goa, India. The headquarters of Mormugao taluka, Vasco city, is named on the great Portuguese explorer Vasco da Gama. Founded in 1543, Vasco stayed under the Portuguese rule until 1961 after which India annexed Goa. Vasco is Goa’s only city linked perfectly by sea, air, road and rail.
