From Greece to Thailand, up to Hawaii, here's what I think are the best beaches in the world. Beautiful beaches of white sand and turquoise water.

Whitsunday Islands, Australia

Whitehaven Beach.
The days run fast on the most beautiful island of Australia. Whitehaven holds 75 islands in the heart of the great barrier reef .The islands lie off the coast of Queensland in northern Australia. The biggest and most beautiful Whitsunday. The island 6 km across is truly a paradise. This beach has won numerous national awards for environmental protection and conservation. To visit the island you must book a guided tour .To get to the island of Whitsunday isn't difficult. The best time to visit is between May and September. Temperatures are mild and rain is scarce. You will find accommodations for all budgets. From luxury resorts to camping and all within its National Park.

Shipwreck Beach Zakynthos Greece

Shipwreck Beach
Zakynthos, Greece
This beautiful beach is the ideal place to spend a few hours of relaxation and can only be reached by sea. Considered one of the most astonishing places on the planet. A trip worth taking!
Early summer and autumn are the best time. July and August are the busiest months but also the best time when the island is at its most vital and full of life. In Zakynthos there is no shortage of accommodations. You can stay overnight in one of its two windmills: excursions for the blue caves or to the beach of the sinking wreck.

Haena Beach
Kaua'i, Hawaii

Swaying in the wind, white beach and turquoise water; but also majestic mountains and cliffs overlooking the sea and high waterfalls and lush vegetation. Kaua'i, "the Garden Island", is a paradise for hikers, kayakers and other outdoor enthusiasts. The airport is Lihu ' and the capital of the island.

Costa Rei Villasimius, Sardinia, Italy
Costa Rei Villasimius, Sardinia, Italy

Costa Rei
Villasimius, Sardinia, Italy
Located on the South-eastern tip of Sardinia, Villasimius is surrounded by magnificent white sand beaches. Parked at the edge of the road that follows the coast and stay's along one of it's trails. Crystal clear waters awaits you. It is also one of the most beautiful seas in the world. The camping at capo ferrato at the southern end of Costa Rei offers good value for your money.

Vilamendhoo Beach
Ari Atoll, Maldives
Perfect for an escape from reality. The tsunami of 2004 miraculous spared Ari from the waves. Vilamendhoo resort has air-conditioned, clean and comfortable rooms, divided into three categories. In the area you will find more than 40 diving sites, some of which are among the most beautiful of the Maldives. The wernerlau diving center provides the equipment, training and guides at reasonable prices.

Tulum Yucatan, Mexico
Tulum Yucatan, Mexico
Palombaggia Corsica, Mediterranean Sea

The Beach Zlatni Rat Bol Island Brac, Croatia
The Beach Zlatni Rat Bol Island Brac, Croatia

Tulum
Yucatan, Mexico
Th beaches of Tulum are among the most beautiful of Mexico, stretches of sand, water turning into a color of green jade and refreshed by a gentle breeze. The place has a unique charm to the world: from the beach, you can make out the Mayan ruins placed in a spectacular position. The area offers great opportunities for diving, snorkeling and hiking (limestone caves used from rainwater), as well as hotels and restaurants for all budgets.

Palombaggia
Corsica, Mediterranean Sea
The most famous beach in Southern corsica is also the most beautiful.Palombaggia has a long strip of sand and also pine trees, which is located within walking distance to the coast, this famous beach is active throughout the year. If you enjoy pony rides then this is perfect for those who have never ridden.

The Beach Zlatni Rat
Bol Island Brac, Croatia
Brac Island is located in Bol,Croatia, Zlatni Rat is a demonstration of how you might develop an activity on a beach that has a very unique shape. The hotels are situated in a pine forest that stretches to the West of the town, a short distance from the beach Zlatni Rat, formed by small white pebbles, whose tip changes profile depending on the wind and waves. This is one of the most enchanting of Dalmatia. In July and August Bol hosts a Summer Cultural Festival in which dancers and musicians arrive from all over Croatia.

Flic En Flac, Mauritius, Republic Of Mauritius
An immense Beach, far enough to stretch the whole State that follows the coast. The atmosphere is relaxing, even if the sugar plantations in the area are leaving to make room for new construction, a supermarket and even a casino. Some people think that Flic en Flac runs a serious risk of degradation, but for the moment it is still a wonderful place. Hotel Accommodation is not difficult to find.

Hat Tham Phra Nang
Krabi ,Thailand
This beach is a heaven for your soul, it will give you relaxation and well-being. From Bangkok Krabi is easy to reach by plane, but then you will need to use a boat to get to the beach. June, July and August are the best months. Rain usually falls a couple of hours a day. On the other hand, the rain usually makes the beach less crowded and prices very affordable.

Have fun!

You are most welcome tiffany delite, and thank you so much! I hope you make those dreams a reality soon! We have so many options around the world for a fun, beautiful beach escape! Although, the beaches I've mentioned in this Hub are slightly more expensive than other places, I wouldn't mind being on any beach at this point! It's beginning to get cold where I live (Canada) , so I'm thinking anywhere but Canada would be perfect! Dominican Republic, even Miami would do! :)

Great list of beaches! The only one I've been to is the Whitsundays and it was indeed spectacular. One beach that is never on any list, though, that I still dream about seven years later is unexpectedly in New Zealand. Cathedral Cove is one of the most uniquely beautiful beaches that I have ever visited! Check it out and let me know what you think.

Hi Janga, cool hub. I visited Hat Tham Phra Nang a few years back. I was staying in Railey beach a short distance away and was initially sceptical of whether it was worth a whole day trip to go to yet another beach. Despite this I was amazed by how beautiful this place was (although acomodation there was nigh on impossible to get on my meagre budget!).

Feel I should also give a mention to another beach on the nearby Island of Koh Phi Phi Don (location for the film "The Beach") which was similarly spectacular - good, cheap acomodation and lots of nightlife for that one on the main island of Koh Phi Phi Lay.

      Cheers!

Hi Jangalplanet, Nice hub. I have a suggestion. If you add pictures of these beaches, not only will it increase the value of your hub, but will attract more visitors too.

      Thanks for the interesting information.
