Beautiful Beaches From Around The World

Updated on February 9, 2015

Dive In To The World's Most Beautiful Beaches

Searching for paradise? You've come to the right place. Listen now as the crystal clear blue waters lap up against the white sands and plam trees gently sway in the warm tropical breeze.....As it is 5 degrees and snowing outside my window right now, I am dreaming of such a place. I have created this page for those of you who are like me, a worshiper of the sun, the sands and the sea.

Behold a photo essay, designed to entice you with georgous pictures from some of the world's most beautiful beaches. Many of these beaches I have been to and they have been included them here as fond memories, others I still dream of visiting.

Bora Bora

type=text

Bora Bora is an island I have dreamed of visiting since I was in High school and first saw photos of it taken from space. It is absolutely stunning as this image shows. The island is located about 230 kilometers northwest of Papeete, and is surrounded by a lagoon and a barrier reef.

Bora Bora is a premier destination for snorkeling and scuba diving in and around its lagoon.

Palau

type=text

The beautiful rock islands of Palau,an island nation located some 500 miles (800 km) east of the Philippines and 2,000 miles (3,200 km) south of Tokyo. I visited Palau over new years 2005 and the experience is one I will never forget, especially swimming with 16 million Jellyfish in Jellyfish Lake. To see more of Palau and my Jellyfish Lake experience, please visit HERE

Morpion

Some people call Morpion the smallest island in the world. It is located in Grenadines islands archipelago, in the Caribbean. I had the pleasure of visiting Morpion in 1995 and snorkeling the crystal clear waters around it. It is truly a magical place.

Abel Tasman

type=text

Abel Tasman National Park is New Zealand's smallest national park. It is renowned for its golden beaches, sculptured granite cliffs, and world-famous Abel Tasman Coast Track. This track takes you along the coast line and through the forest where you can camp or stay in backpacker huts along the way. I have been to New Zealand twice and by far the Abel Tasman was the highlight of each adventure.

Pink Sand Beach

type=text
type=text

Many pink sand beaches can be found at Harbour Island in the Bahamas. The sand is a composition of broken shells, bits of corals and tiny microscopic invertebrates called Foraminifera. It is the Foraminifera that give the sand its pinkish hue. Harbour Island also features some of the world's finest diving destinations..

      I can tell you from personal experience that Bora Bora is everything you want it to be. And, by the way, it's a LOT cheaper than you think. Message me if you want details on where to stay and how to do the South Pacific Islands for cheap!

      Very nice lens, 5*****. I grew up at Sandbanks in the UK, now the English equivalent of Malibu, but back then it was just a wonderful beach. Hot Water Beach on the Coromandel Peninsula in New Zealand is wonderful. You have to wade across a stream to get to the beach, and at low tide you can dig a pool at the water's edge and make your own hot tub, as boiling hot water bubbles up out of the ground and get washed over by the waves. It's wonderful.

      I feel slightly warmer now that I've visited this page. It's just about freezing in Massachusetts right now, and I could use a getaway to any of these places. Bora Bora looks incredible.

      I love this lens! It makes me so home sick for Hawaii. You have 2 places listed that I love; Bora Bora and Palau. A few years back did some sailing down there. You would not believe how fabulous the diving is in Palau! Christmas Island is another really cool place. Very primitive, but gorgeous. Did a fishing trip down there.

      BTW, thanks for stopping by one of my Hawaii lens. I have lensrolled this lens to some of my Hawaii lenses, joined your fan club and added you to my faves. 5 stars for you! I am biased, of course since I come from a beautiful island myself. I hope you find some other beautiful beaches to add in the future.I'll be back to visit.

      Aloha!
