Best Beaches In The World
Although i haven't been to a lot of destinations in my life the ones i have been too are Australia and Mauritius which are both known for beautiful beaches, this got me thinking about places me and my wife simply must visit before we are to old to do so and to be honest most of them that we thought of are beach related holidays, this got me thinking about maybe searching out the best beaches in the world and at least trying to visit a few of them during my lifetime. What follows is a comprehensive list of some of the most spectacular beaches in the world with descriptions of them and where in the world they are as well as what we all really want which is a good picture of the beach as they do say that a picture paints a thousands words and this is especially true when looking at a gorgeous beach.
These beaches are the ones that i consider the best in the world and would love to go to and are not in any particular order, plus i would love to hear about the beaches you guys may have been too and where they are and why you think they are the best.
Flic'n'Flac Mauritius
This is where I'm going to start as i have been to this part of Mauritius and there is a 3km stretch of beautiful beach that lies in front of some of the countries most elegant hotels,me and my wife had our honeymoon here and stayed at the Hilton and the beach is simply fantastic, lovely sands that stretch for 3km and are unspoilt and raked by hand every morning, not to be walked on barefoot though as the sand does contain coral but looks gorgeous.
Phi Phi Leh Beach,Thailand
If any of you are familiar with the film "the Beach" with Leo dicaprio then this is the beach it was filmed on and set in,i think this is probably the best in the world from just looking at it,but i haven't been there so cant comment too much, just take a look at the video for yourself and see what you think,i definitely need to go here as it looks like one of the most tranquil places on earth.
Maya Bay,Phi Phi Leh, Thailand
The Maldives
The Maldives are a group of nearly 11 islands in the Indian ocean and I'm afraid i cant give you one stand out as they are all so naturally beautiful, most of them have just a handful of villas and staff so if your lucky sometimes you can be there nearly on your own and this is the ultimate private getaway and the next place i plan to go to with my wife (once i have saved enough).
The Maldives
French Polynesia, Bora Bora
Another group of island this time though in the pacific ocean, this has also been the setting for quite a few films and is one of the most exotic places on earth although slightly overpopulated with tourists as it has become increasingly popular throughout the last couple of years, still some quite beaches on their though and they are spectacular.
Bora Bora
Rottnest Island, Western Australia
I know doesn't sound great does it but Rottenest island in Australia s beautiful and i have seen it for myself, there are lots of little bays with secluded beaches, and that's the thing with this lovely island you can always find a quite spot of heaven to relax in while your there.Parakeet bay has to be one of my favourites and i loved it so much i have a framed photo of it.
Rottnest Island, Australia
Cayo Largo Beach,Cuba
Yes another one of those beaches that i want to go to and perhaps among the top 2 beaches in the world,it looks so idyllic that i simply must go there as soon as i can,i just love the look of the crystal clear waters and the sparkling sands,This place is a must if your into your beaches.
