San Francisco can be a great vacation destination for families. Choosing a hotel that will cater to your family’s needs is a must. Here are the top San Francisco hotels for families.

Cow Hollow Motor Inn & Suites

This hotel offers two bedroom suites so kids can have their own room instead of having to sleep on a pull out couch. Antique furniture makes this choice a cozy one for everyone. The Marina is also just a short stroll away.

The Fairmount San Francisco

This hotel will be a hit with your kids because of the Tonga Room, a dining room and bar that is decorated in a tropical theme. “Rain” falls every 30 minutes here, giving your kids entertainment as well as fine dining.

Argonaut Hotel

This hotel cannot be beat for location. It is just next door to Fisherman’s Wharf which offers all kinds of kid activities as well as the National Maritime Museum. The hotel itself also offers perks for kids, including a “treasure chest” that kids can choose a gift from!

Hotel Del Sol

Colorful décor will catch your kids’ attention at this hotel, but the main attraction here is the “Kids are VIPs” program that the hotel offers. This program includes a children’s library, toys, and videos. Children can get special gear for the heated pool (including visors and beach balls) and cookies and milk in the evenings! Parents will love the hotel’s babysitting service, baby-proofed rooms and family suite, made up of three adjoining rooms that give everyone more privacy.

Hotel Metropolis

The décor in this hotel is sure to catch kids’ eyes. The lobby walls are covered with 80+ works of art created by children. The hotel also offers the Urban Explorers Kids Suite, which can accommodate up to six adults and three children. A particular attraction in these suites is the collection of children’s furniture, including bunk beds, a computer, chalkboard wall, and toys. Even the bathroom has a rubber ducky!

Handlery Union Square Hotel
This hotel has been renovated to include a newer addition that offers adjoining rooms for families as well as a heated outdoor pool and adjoining restaurant, the Daily Grill, which offers food kids will love.

Stanyan Park Hotel
This is another hotel that kids will love because of its location. The Golden Gate Park’s Children’s Playground is only a half a block away. The suites offer all the room families need, including two bedrooms, a full kitchen, and dining area.
