Best Tourist Attractions In Alabama

As mentioned in my previous articles I love travelling, being able to experience the many wonderful things around the world is a true passion of mine. I am going to talk about some of the top tourist attractions in Alabama, and they definitely have something in the entire family will enjoy. I have been to Alabama four different times, and would absolutely love to go back one day. Alabama is mostly known for its extensive waterways, and the state is incredibly beautiful as well.

Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo

Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo is located in Gulf Shores, and is about seventeen acres in size. The Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo is one of the most popular tourist attractions for families in Alabama, and was opened back in 1989. The Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo has approximately six hundred different animals, and is also the home of an Aviary, Petting Zoo, and even a Reptile House, which has made it so very popular.

I have been to the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo three times, and would absolutely love to go back one day. The Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo has an amazing history to it, and the events they hold throughout the year is pretty incredible. The Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo puts on some cool live shows, and this is definitely one attraction I would highly recommend checking out.

Bellingrath Gardens

Bellingrath Gardens is located in Theodore, and is a little over six acres in size. The Bellingrath Gardens has become one of the most popular tourist attractions in Alabama, and was opened back in 1932. The Bellingrath Gardens is amazingly beautiful, and has an incredible walking trail as well.

I have only been to the Bellingrath Gardens once, and definitely would love to see them again one day. The Bellingrath Gardens sets the scene to be incredibly romantic, and if you are on your honeymoon this is definitely one attraction I would check out. The Bellingrath Gardens has an amazing history to it, and the sunsets are absolutely breathtakingly gorgeous.

Chewacle State Park

Chewacla State Park is located in Auburn, and is about six hundred and ninety acres in size. The Chewacla State Park was opened back in 1939, and has become one of the most popular tourist attractions in Alabama. The Chewacla State Park has several amazing attractions throughout the area, and the most popular being incredible the lake and falls.

I have been to the Chewacla State Park four different times, and would absolutely love to go back one day. The Chewacla State Park is incredibly beautiful, and the hiking trails offers some of the most breathtaking views you will be able to see within Alabama. The Chewacla State Park sets the scene to be incredibly romantic, and if you are on your honeymoon this would be one spot i would check out.

U.S. Space & Rocket Center

U.S. Space & Rocket Center is located in Huntsville, and has become one of the most popular tourist attractions in Alabama. The U.S. Space & Rocket Center was made into a museum that has become so very popular, and was put into place to honor archievement, and artifacts of the space program. I have been to the U.S. Space & Rocket Center three different times, and was definitely a very educational experience. U.S. Space & Rocket Center was opened back in 1970, and has some incredible exhibits that people love, and is one attraction I would definitely recommend checking out.

Waterville USA Theme Park

Waterville USA Theme Park is located in Gulf Shores, and was opened back in 1986. The Waterville USA Theme Park has become one of the most popular tourist attractions for families in Alabama, and is about twenty acres in size. The Waterville USA Theme Park has nineteen different attractions, and holds some incredible events throughout the year.

I have been to Waterville USA Theme Park four times, and would love to go back one day. The Waterville USA Theme Park has incredible agriculture, and is definitely one attraction I would highly recommend checking out. The Waterville USA Theme Park has a huge hub that celebrates a lot of culture in Alabama, and brings families closer together.

Birmingham Museum Of Art

Birmingham Museum Of Art is located in Birmingham, and was opened back in 1951. The Birmingham Museum Of Art has an extensive collection of art, and has over twenty four thousand different pieces. The Birmingham MuseuP of Art has incredible architecture throughout the building, and has a pretty amazing history to it. I have been to the Birmingham Museum Of Art three times, and would love to go back one day. The Birmingham Museum Of Art holds amazing events throughout the year, and is definitely one attraction I would highly recommend checking out.

Noccalula Falls

Noccalula Falls is located in Gadsden, and is a about two hundred and fifty acres in size. The Noccalula Falls has become one of the most popular tourist attractions in Alabama, and is ninety feet tall. The Noccalula Falls has an incredible hiking trail, and the scenery is absolutely breathtaking.

I have been to the Noccalula Falls four times, and would love to go back one day. The Noccalula Falls sets the scene to be incredibly romantic, and if you were on your honeymoon this is definitely one attraction I would definitely check out. The Noccalula Falls has an amazing history to it, and you will encounter a whole lot of amazing wildlife along the way.

Cathedral Caverns State Park

Cathedral Caverns State Park is located in Marshall, and is about four hundred and sixty one acres in size. The Cathedral Caverns State Park has become one of the most popular tourist attractions within Alabama, and is not only a fun experience but is also very educational. The Cathedral Caverns State Park has several attractions throughout the area, and the caverns are absolutely incredible.

I have only been to the Cathedral Caverns State Park twice, but definitely was an adventure of a lifetime. The Cathedral Caverns State Park is a hub for a lot of culture within Alabama, and has an incredible walking trails that you will absolutely love. McWane Science Center

McWane Science Center is located in Birmingham, and was opened back in 1998. The McWane Science Center is one of the most popular tourist attractions for families in Alabama, and is also the home of an aquarium, and also a pretty incredible theatre as well. The McWane Science Center has collection size of over five hundred thousand exhibits, and has an incredible history to it. I have only been to the McWane Science Center once, and is not only a fun experience but also very educational as well. The McWane Science Center is a huge hub for culture within Alabama, and is definitely one attraction I would highly recommend checking out.

Birmingham Botanical Gardens

Birmingham Botanical Gardens is located in Birmingham, was opened in 1963. The Birmingham Botanical Garden is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Alabama, and is over sixty five acres in size. The Birmingham Botanical Garden is about twenty five different gardens combined into one, and has several amazing walking trails throughout the area.

I have been to the Birmingham Botanical Gardens three times, and I can say first hand it is incredibly beautiful. Alabama is a very beautiful state, and is definitely one place I would recommend for a family vacation. I have had many exciting adventures during my travels through Alabama, and memories I will forever cherish.
