Best Tourist Attractions In Maryland

As mentioned in my previous articles I love travelling, being able to explore the wonderful things around the world is a true passion of mine. I am going to talk about some of the most popular tourist attractions in Maryland, and they definitely have something for the entire family to enjoy. I have been to Maryland six times, and would definitely love to go back one day. Maryland is mostly known for its rich history, but it is absolutely beautiful as well.

Maryland Zoo

Maryland Zoo is located in Baltimore, and has become one of the most popular tourist attractions for families in Maryland. The Maryland Zoo was opened back in 1876, and has such an amazing history to it. The Maryland Zoo has over two thousand different animals, and the exhibits are absolutely amazing. The Maryland Zoo has pretty incredible live shows, and the events they hold throughout the year are quite amazing as well.

I have been to the Maryland Zoo four times, and definitely would love to go back one day. The Maryland Zoo is about one hundred and thirty five acres in size, and the agriculture that surrounds the area is absolutely amazing. The Maryland Zoo is definitely one attraction I would highly recommend checking out, and is not only a fun experience but also very educational.

Swallow Falls State Park

Swallow Falls State Park is located in Garrett County, and consists of a fifty three foot waterfall. The Swallow Falls State Park is about two hundred and fifty seven acres in size, and was opened back in 1930. The Swallow Falls State Park has become one of the most popular tourist attractions in Maryland, and has a pretty incredible history to it.

I have been to the Swallow Falls State Park six times, and would very much like to go back one day. Swallow Falls State Park has many amazing attractions that you will love within the area, and the hiking trails offers scenery that is absolutely breathtaking. The Swallow Falls State Park is the highest waterfall in Maryland, and is definitely one attraction I would highly recommend checking out.

Six Flags America Theme Park

Six Flags America Theme Park is located in Bowie, and was opened back in 1974. The Six Flags America Theme Park has become one of the most popular tourist attractions for families within Maryland, and has an incredible history to it. The Six Flags America Theme Park is about five hundred and twenty three acres in size, and the agriculture is truly amazing.

I have only been to Six Flags America Theme Park twice, but would like to some day go back. The Six Flags America has over fifty four different attractions, and has incredible events throughout the year as well. The Six Flags America Theme Park is definitely one attraction I would highly recommend checking out, and some of the architecture is pretty amazing.

Walter's Art Museum

Walters Art Museum is located in Baltimore, and has become one of the most popular tourist attractions in Maryland. Walters Art Museum was opened back in 1934, and has an amazing architecture throughout the building. The Walters Art Museum has an incredible history to it, and has a very large collection of art pieces. I have been to the Walters Art Museum five times, and would like to go back one day. The Walters Art Museum is more geared towards the adult generation and definitely has some pretty incredible tours as well.

Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge

Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge is located in Dorchester County, and has become one of the most popular tourist attractions in Maryland. Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge was opened back in 1937, and has an amazing history to it. Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge has over twenty eight thousand acres in size, and w a s created as a sanctuary for birds.

I have been to the Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge four times, and would definitely love to go back one day. The Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge has some pretty incredible scenery, and is not only a fun experience but very educational as well. The Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge has incredible agriculture throughout the area, and is one attraction I highly recommend checking out.

Ladew Topiary Gardens

Ladew Topiary Gardens is located in Monkton, and was opened back in 1935. Never do do. The Ladew Topiary Gardens is about seventy five acres in size, and has become one of the most popular tourist attractions in Maryland. Ladew Topiary Gardens has sixteen different sections of gardens all with a different colour scheme, and the walking trails offers sceneries that is absolutely breathtaking.

I have been to the Ladew Topiary Gardens six times, and definitely would love to go back. The Ladew Topiary Gardens has an amazing history to it, and has many different attractions that people love. The Laden Topiary Gardens sets the scene to be incredibly romantic, and if you are on your honeymoon this is one stop i would definitely take.

Jolly Roger Amusement Park

Jolly Roger Amusement Park is located in Ocean City, and is about two hundred and eighty four acres in size. The Jolly Roger Amusement Park has forty three different attractions, and was opened back in 1964. Jolly Rodger Amusement Park has become one of the most popular tourist attractions for families in Maryland, and has an amazing history to it. I have been to the Jolly Roger Amusement Park once, but would really like to go back again some day. Jolly Roger Amusement Park is one attraction I would highly recommend checking out, and holds some amazing events throughout the year.

Maryland Science Center

Maryland Science Center is located in Baltimore, and has become one of the most popular tourist attractions in Maryland. The Maryland Science Center was opened back in 1976, and has some of the most amazing exhibits. The Maryland Science Center has some amazing architecture throughout the building, and is known to be one of the best Science Centers in the world.

I have been to the Maryland Science Center four times, and would love to go back one day. Maryland Science Center holds some amazing events throughout the year, and is not only a fun experience but also very educational as well. The Maryland Science Center is definitely one attraction I would highly recommend checking out, and offers quite the incredible scenery from their amazing planetarium as well.

Antietam National Battlefield

Antietam National Battlefield is located in Washington County, and is over three thousand acres in size. The Antietam National Battlefield was opened in 1890, and was created in remembrance of the American Civil War : Battle Of Antietam. The Antietam National Battlefield has become one of the most popular tourist attractions in Maryland, and is more geared towards the adult generation. I have been to the Antietam National Battlefield three times, and would absolutely love to go back. The Antietam National Battlefield has an incredible history to it, and is one tourist attraction I would highly recommend checking out.

Western Maryland Scenic Railroad

Western Maryland Scenic Railroad is located in Cumberland, and has become one of the most popular tourist attractions in Maryland. The Western Maryland Scenic Railroad was opened back in 1988, and has a pretty amazing history to it. The Western Maryland Scenic Railroad is over sixty miles long, and offers some of the most incredible sceneries you will see within Maryland.

I have only been to the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad once, but would definitely love to go back one day. The Western Maryland Scenic Railroad has some amazing events throughout the year, and it is not only a fun experience but also very educational. The Western Maryland Scenic Railroad is definitely one attraction I would highly recommend checking out, you will not be disappointed in this incredible adventure.
