12 Best Hotels Near Bonnaroo in Manchester, Tennessee and Surrounding Cities

Updated on February 2, 2017

I'm a Tennessee-based freelance writer with a passion for true crime, a thirst for knowledge, and an obsession with lists.

Many articles such as this would begin with a short introduction to the world's greatest music festival but if you're reading this, you already know about that. Shall we move on?

Whatever your reason (not that one is necessary) for not choosing to stay at the Bonnaroo campgrounds, there is a hotel nearby whose staff will work hard to keep you comfortable and without missing all the top performances and other great things to enjoy at Great Stage Park.

Before we get started, I'd like to remind everyone Tennessee's hotels are 100% smoke free pursuant to TCA § 39-17-1803. Smokers can be fined $250 per offense for smoking outside of designated outdoor areas.

So mind your butts, y'all. Also, tip your maid. Now on to my time-saving list of the best hotels near Bonnaroo.

1. Holiday Inn Express & Suites

Just off Exit 114 on Interstate 24 is the stylish Holiday Inn. For 51 weeks of the year, the staff at this facility cater to the needs of businessmen and traveling families. Popular with guests for it's state of the art business center, indoor heated pool, fully stocked fitness center, and complimentary full breakfast, it's first choice for many returning visitors.

Guests to the hotel will enjoy amenities such as free weekday newspaper, complimentary hot breakfast, an indoor heated saltwater pool, fitness room, and free WiFi.

5. Microtel Inns & Suites by Wyndham

Within walking distance of Burger King, Wendy's, a 24-hour convenience store, and a well-stocked liquor store, Microtel is one of the area's most affordable hotels while maintaining above-quality standards for their establishment. Guests of the hotel enjoy free WiFi, an outdoor pool, and a complimentary breakfast to get the day started.

More Recommendations

Unfortunately, Manchester only becomes a thriving metropolis the week Bonnaroo attendees spend there. As such, lodging accommodations are limited. While their are other nearby hotels, they fail to meet the quality of standards required to be included in my list of recommendations.

Fear not, however, as I'd like to propose a compromise. If a short drive to Great Stage Park isn't out of the question for you, I recommend the following hotels in the neighboring city of Tullahoma:

6. Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites (12 MI)

Being the stop rated accommodations in neighboring cities comes with great expectation from guest. Judging from Trip Advisor reviews, the Holiday Inn in Tullahoma never fails to deliver. Fabulous amenities all guest enjoy include a free hot breakfast buffet every day, free WiFi, a heated indoor pool, fitness center, and state of the art business center.

Tullahoma's Hampton Inn is located within the heart of the city's business district. A vast array of dining and shopping choices surrounds this 62 room hotel. Other amenities include an outdoor pool, access to a nearby fully-equipped fitness center, free WiFi, and a free hot breakfast daily.

8. Baymont Inn & Suites (12 MI)

Centrally located adjacent to popular restaurants, Walmart Super Center, Kroger, and more, Baymont Inn is a fantastic choice for area lodging. Features of the hotel include an outdoor pool, complimentary continental breakfast, and being very pet friendly.

If You're Willing to Drive Just a Little Further...

Reservations for the week of Bonnaroo are filled very quickly, sometimes more than a year in advance. In an area of limited resources, it's difficult, if not impossible, to be lucky enough to get one of those coveted reservations.

There is one last city close enough to event I feel comfortable recommending their hotels: Murfreesboro. A 30 minute drive east on I-24 brings you to one of the nation's fastest growing cities.

Although Murfreesboro has scores of top-rate hotels because of it's position of being halfway between Manchester and Nashville, its often a first choice for festival goers. Those who stay in Murfreesboro enjoy a wealth of dining and shopping choices as well as other quality attractions not found in the festival's host city.

While it's often a first choice for Bonnaroo visitors, I list Murfreesboro's accommodations last because folks are forced to compete for space with those attending Nashville's CMA Music Festival the same weekend. Nonetheless, when searching for lodging in a place where there is none, it's always worth a try.

9. Hilton Garden Inn

One of Murfreesboro's newest and finest hotels is the Hilton Garden Inn. Located adjacent to The Avenue shopping complex and surrounded by an untold number of casual dining establishments, this hotel offers Bonnaroo visitors access to big city conveniences while providing quick interstate access so you can get back to the festival.

Guests of the hotel will also enjoy an outdoor saltwater pool, a 24/7 fitness center, state of the art business center, a coin operated laundry, and on-site lounge.

10. Holiday Inn Express

Murfreesboro's Holiday Inn Express can be found tucked away on a lesser-used secondary road, hidden from the interstate by a row of old pines. It's a peaceful reprieve in the heart of the city's shopping district. Quality, cleanliness, and ease of access to I-24 are the first things to get this facility added to this list but the outdoor pool, fitness center, and complimentary hot breakfast are worth mentioning as well.

11. Holiday Inn

Yet another Holiday Inn makes the list and it's the second one in Murfreesboro. What sets this hotel apart from the others? It's just off the interstate, on Silohill Road, in an area which is in its early stages of development. The lack of conveniences within walking distance is more than made up for by the on-site amenities offered. During their stay, guests enjoy facility features such as an outdoor pool, outdoor barbecue grills, fire pits, and access to the nearby Gold's Gym,

12. Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham

On that same quiet road as the Holiday Inn Express, you'll find the Microtel Inn. In addition to a peaceful retreat from the noise of the city, guest here will enjoy a free breakfast daily, complimentary WiFi, and very affordable, quality lodging.

I agree with you as relates to pricing. Unfortunately, those are so fluid, especially as festivals attendance that weekend continues to increase each year, it's difficult to the information current. I hope my readers will forgive me.

The out looking of the Hilton Garden Inn attracts me most. There's also a fitness center. Someday, I'll maybe there. This looks like a Dream Castle. But, one thing need to know and that is cost.

It will be more helpful to decide for the budget travelers like us if we get a comparative description of the cost to past a night in such dream like castles. However, thanks a lot for sharing these beautiful hotels with us!
