Bradenton, FL Rent By Owner
VRBO
Looking for a Bradenton, FL rent by owner place to stay? We found a great one on VRBO, where we find most of our vacation rentals. Why do we like using VRBO so much? We really like dealing directly with the owners of vacation rentals, without having to go through a “middleman” like a property management agency. Rent by owner has just worked out a lot better for us. Owners include their contact information on the listings of their properties, so it’s easy to contact them if you have questions. You can search for vacation rentals by area, and you’ll find lots of listings. You can also narrow down your property search by number of bedrooms, number of people the vacation rentals accommodate, whether or not the rentals are pet-friendly, or other details and amenities. Most owners also include photographs of the rental units, along with a description, so you’ll get a good idea of the rental properties. We’ve rented numerous vacation properties through VRBO, and we’ve never had a bad experience. Our most recent was located in Bradenton, and it was great! If you’re interested in a Bradenton FL rent by owner for your next Florida vacation, read on.
Bradenton, Florida
Bradenton, FL
Why would you want to go to Bradenton, Florida? Well, for one thing, you’ll like its location. It’s near Sarasota, Tampa, Anna Maria Island, and Longboat Key. There are some really gorgeous Gulf beaches nearby, along with lots of birds and wildlife. The weather is nice all year, too, and every time we’ve visited this area, it was covered with brightly colored flowers and tropical foliage.
Bradenton has plenty to do and see, even if you never leave the city. Numerous restaurants serve all sorts of cuisines, and there are lots of places to shop. Enjoy live theater, browse a gallery, take in a movie, play sports, or take the kids to an arcade. Historical sites, aquariums, a planetarium, and museums provide fun learning opportunities for kids and adults alike. And if you love water, you’ll have plenty of chances to enjoy it in Bradenton. Go fishing, crabbing, or rent a boat and discover the beauty of the area for yourself by water.
Two places most people want to visit while they’re in Bradenton are RiverWalk and The Red Barn. Bradenton RiverWalk is adjacent to the Manatee River and includes paved walkways, grassy areas, playgrounds, art, water play, kayak launches, a skate park, volleyball courts, a boat dock, and a fishing pier. The Red Barn is a huge indoor/outdoor flea market, with a farmer’s market, permanent stores, and vendors. Food and beverages are offered for sale, too, and the indoor part of the flea market is air conditioned.
Florida Vacation House
Our Florida vacation house in Bradenton was in a quiet neighborhood, on a canal, near the Manatee River. The house is attractive and comfortable, with two stories. On the ground floor is the master bedroom, which includes a very large bathroom with a walk-in shower and a big garden tub. The master suite has a large walk-in closet, which was great for stowing some of our stuff. Also on the ground floor are a second bathroom, the living room, the laundry room with washer and dryer, a den, a dining area, and a large kitchen. The kitchen is well equipped with dishes, silverware, cups and glasses, and pots and pans. There are also a refrigerator/freezer, a dishwasher, a microwave, a toaster, a garbage disposal, and a blender. The pantry is spacious, and we had more than enough room for all our groceries.
Outside the bottom floor are a garage, a heated swimming pool, and a lanai/patio area. The pool and patio are screened in, so we weren’t bothered by bugs. A charcoal grill, a table, chairs, and lounge chairs made this area especially comfy. There were also lots of pool toys for the kids to enjoy. Something we especially liked about the patio is that part of it is covered, so we always had shade from the sun and shelter from the rain.
Upstairs are three additional bedrooms and a full bath. Two of the bedrooms have queen-size beds, and the third has a set of twin beds. All the beds were comfortable, and the entire house was clean. The air conditioning worked great, too. You might not think that’s important, but it is to us! The Southwest Florida summers can be pretty brutal. We also appreciated all the TVs. There’s one in every bedroom, in the living room, and in the den.
The thing my two grandsons and son-in-law really loved about this property was the canal, which borders the back yard. They’re big saltwater fishing fans, so they spent a lot of time angling in the canal. They caught snook, snapper, ladyfish, catfish, and gar. They saw numerous redfish, too. Actually, we all enjoyed the canal because of the wildlife and birds it attracted. Almost every morning, a Great Blue Heron came to the mangroves to fish for its breakfast. We also saw egrets, gulls, songbirds, and pink flamingoes. On three mornings, dolphins swam into the canal and were just four feet away from where we were standing on the bank!
This Bradenton FL rent by owner home is near restaurants and shopping. The white sandy beaches and clear turquoise waters of Anna Maria Island are just twelve miles away. Palma Sola Bay and Anna Maria Sound are nine miles away, and they also have sandy beaches and provide angling opportunities. If you love fishing, the Skyway fishing piers are just a few miles away, with restrooms and bait shops that are always open.
The owner of this Florida vacation house is extremely nice and easy to work with. If you have any questions or problems at all, he takes care of them quickly. We also met Joe, the handyman, and he was very friendly and helpful. This large, attractive vacation home rents for an unbelievable price. When we went, it was just $850 per week, and we weren’t required to make a security deposit. Prices might be higher during other times of the year – I’m not sure about that. If you want to spend some time in this Bradenton FL Rent By Owner home, you can contact Jim, the owner, at 563-332-4578.
