Please note that British Airways does offer some more guidelines on the size of your suitcases or size of your pieces of luggage. As a rough guide your suitcases in size should be no bigger, taller or wider than an average suitcase.

British Airways Frequent Flyer Card Holders travelling with British Airways are allowed an extra piece of baggage in addition to the basic baggage allowance to go with your fare and your class of booking.

In addition over recent years British Airways have introduced Premium Economy or World Traveller Class. British Airways Premium Economy and World Traveller fares allow ticket holders to check in 2 suitcases per ticket with each case weighing in at 32 Kilogramme each. Children travelling Premium Economy or World Traveller Class aged over 2 are allowed the same amount of baggage as a adult traveller with Premium Economy and World Traveller Class but children under the age of 2 can check in 1 piece of luggage weighing no more than 32 kilograms plus a fully collapsible push chair.

Unless baggage is planned and bagged carefully the risk of arriving at check in and facing charges for being over the baggage allowance is huge and can be costly and upsetting.
