Camping Le Mané Guernehué, Baden, France - campsite review

Camping Mané Guernehué is a campsite I truly admired. We returned back here for a second time as a result of it being so good. Don't underestimate the size of this campsite, it's massive, 24 hectares in fact. There is a nasty hill of which most of the mobile homes are located at the bottom of. Unlike most large and busy campsites though, we found Camping Mané Guernehué to be surprisingly relaxing.

Whether you stay with a company (Keycamp have mobile homes here), book directly with the site or bring your own mobile home or camper van, your pitch will be well covered from prying eyes and also quite spacious. There's a huge selection of pictures for people with camper vans and mobile homes. However, some pitches can be completely in the shade, so always state the type of pitch you would like when booking.

Mané Guernehué Pool Complex

Swimming Pools & Slides

The pool area is magnificent and definitely the best amongst all campsites I've been in so far. Outdoors there is a large pool with a lazy river, another smaller but deeper pool, a kids pool, and a good selection of watersides. There will never be a shortage of sunbathing benches either, which is great.

The first time I was in Mané Guernehué was when they were building the indoor pool. When we returned the next year, the indoor pool was completed; and boy where we surprised! All the indoor pools were heated very well but were very 'airy'. They also built a long twirly waterside which requires a trek up of a couple dozen steps. If you want to relax, there's also a jacuzzi in the corner. Everything about the swimming facilities in Mané Guerneheué was class, top class.

Facilities & Activites

The facilities were also very pleasing. There's a restaurant on site and the food is quite appetising. If you would prefer to have the food back in your mobile home, you can also takeaway your order (just don't be expecting your food in a hurry, takeaway orders can be quite slow depending on how busy or quite the restaurant is).

There's also zip-lining (very good standard quality for a campsite), horse riding and archery. There's also a lake on site for fishing lovers. The playground is good with trampolines, slides, swings and table tennis tables. As with nearly every campsite in France, there's a couple of Boules courts.

The entertainment is reasonably good as far as I can remember. The restaurant area is beautiful, with seats outside looking out on to the pool area. There is also a purpose built bar area that has indoor and outdoor and seats and couches. Inside the bar where the entertainment is. The kids entertainment (discos and magic shows etc.) are held in a sort of hall by the playground, which would be under the bar.

Mané Guernehué is an excellent campsite, and definitely one you should consider if you want to go to North France. The campsite is suitable for nearly everyone, especially children as there is so much to do and it's a very safe campsite.
