CheapOstay Discount Online Hotel Booking Review

Updated on June 1, 2012

Anyone searching for cheap discount hotels on the Internet will eventually find CheapOstay.com through a Google search. They are one of the most reliable and reputable hotel booking websites. Most people know that already since they are a very popular website.

But I think the most important question people have is, "Can CheapOstay get me the best hotel rates?".

It's one of the reasons why you've done a search and come across this review. After all almost every online hotel reservation agency advertises 50% off or more for budget hotels to 5 star luxury spas and beach side resorts in the poshest locations.

So you're wondering can they deliver the promise of unpublished hotel discount rates. Through my work and personal experiences I have done a lot of reviews on hotel reservation companies. From my research every hotel reservation website have advantages over each other depending on the region you are planning to book your hotels in.

As you can see from my reviews I recommend Booking.com for finding discount hotel rates in Europe, Middle East and Africa. If you're planning to visit China, Thailand, the Philippines or anywhere else in Asia I recommend Agoda.com.

What I have seen is that they provide they are able to providethe best prices for hotels in the United States, Canada, South America and Europe. The reason why they are able to get you best hotel rates is because they specifically target the hotel market. So they have access to 85,000 hotels with the ability to offer 50% off of the published hotel rates. But don't just take my word for it. One of the biggest magazine names called Travel & Leisure also gives CheapOstay.com high praises. If that doesn't say reliability then I don't know what does.

"Booking at a hotel's website directly vs. booking on CheapOstay.com. Which is better?"

That is a very common question that most people have in mind. What I do is when I see a hotel that I am interested in staying at I check their hotel's website to see how much they are charging per night. I also factor in if they include breakfast or any other perks too. Then I take a look at their website to compare room prices.

From my experience I can find better rates on CheapOstay's website. The reason why is because hotel agencies receive special discounted unpublished rates from hotels around the world. All hotels need to meet a certain room quota in a period of time. Needless to say not all hotels can fill their rooms to full capacity alone.

So they seek out the services of hotel booking websites and sell off a bunch of rooms at a deep discount. As a result CheapOstay.com is able to provide a limited amount of rooms with significantly lower than the hotel's published rack rates.

CheapOstay.com - User-Friendly Website

All of the hotel reservation companies I recommend have user-friendly pages. So it is very simple to find the right hotel property and make the reservation. What I particularly like about CheapOstay.com is that they have hotel reviews linked through TripAdvisor.com, one of the most reputable travel information websites for genuine hotel reviews.

As you can see below you are able to read genuine reviews from guests who have stayed in the hotel property.

It's not uncommon for travelers to miss a connecting flight and have to wait until the next morning to catch another. So may have to notify your hotel reservation service. Which is why it is important to book a hotel through an agency that will be able to assist you 24 hours 7 days a week. This is one of the reasons why I have no hesitations at all recommending their services.

If you have read my reviews on Booking.com and Agoda.com you can see that both companies offer Best Rate Guarantees. CheapOstay.com also has a similar policy. So you might be asking, "Well which company is better?". They are both very good and reputable as long as you know which company to use to make your hotel reservations.

So if you need a hotel in the United States, Canada, South America and Europe be sure to check out CheapOstay.com.

I've been booking my travel online for years and just came across Cheapostay for my latest travel to Orlando. A bit hesitant at first to book with it since it was the first time I heard or seen of it, but when I realized it was related to Cheapoair (which I had heard of before), I went ahead to book. Agree with this hub that it is one of the better travel sites for US hotels. You can find some great deals that other major sites like Hotels.com, Orbitz and Travelocity does not offer. Also located promo codes just by Googling and got an even greater deal.
