Cold Beer and Broasted Chicken ~ Bars in Oregon

Updated on May 12, 2014

You came to the right place if you like cold beer and broasted chicken! My husband and I connoisseurs of broasted chicken, so far we have tried chicken all over Oregon. My husband loves beer so, he is the expert in that dept. Many chicken recipes have tantalized our taste buds, and there is an elite few that we believe is best tasting broasted chicken in Oregon. Will get to that, but first lets talk about broasted chicken and ice cold beer.

Sometimes, after a long day at work or a hot summer day, it is nice to have ice cold glass of beer sitting in front of you, if you want it cold try The Bohemian Tavern in Cottage Grove, they put their glasses in the freezer, and the beer in the cooler is rotated so its always cold. Travel to Springfield, Oregon and stop off at The Pourhouse Tavern they have some great broasted chicken, the atmosphere is friendly and the staff are quick to get you what you want. On your way up the Mackenzie river pass on highway 126 You will see a placed called Ike's Pizza, Ike's not only has great pizza they also have Broasated Chicken it is a fun place to stop off on your way to Bend. Ike's chicken is really good cold too. They are family owned and operated, so you get the real deal here.

In Bend, a fun place to go hang out and have a cold beer and broasted chicken is at Grover's Pub and Pizza, their chicken is fresh northwest grown, and marinated. Yummy!

Over on highway 58 the 7.5 miles from Willamette pass ski area, your will find the best broasted chicken ever. It is called Manley's Tavern, people actually drive over the mountain just to get this stuff! My husband says instead of calling the town Crescent Lake, they should call it Manley's, Oregon. Manley's chicken is only the best while still hot, and it is some of the best chicken we have had in Oregon!

In Medford, Terry's Place has some pretty tasty broasted chicken they also have non breaded chicken for people who need gluten free. Terry's Place highlights a BBQ pork sandwich that's really good too.

let-us go north to Salem, Albany Tigard and Portland

In Portland, The Pink Feather Restaurant and Lounge has been around for over 60 years, they are well known for their chicken.they also play all in Hold 'em on Monday nights. The lounge is a happening place, and they have karaoke too.

Pyzanos Lounge and Grill in Beaverton has really good broasted chicken, it's a busy place, but well worth the wait. Mostly they feature their signature cal-zone and New York style pizza.

My sister lives in Salem and she says the Alibi Inn,has some tasty broasted chicken, they have been around for 35 years and with an estimated 2 million in sales each year, I think they are doing pretty good!

Please let me know if there is a place you like and I will add them in my list.

:) Thanks Dexter Glad you liked it! I love Oregon, My husband and I have lived in the state for most of our lives, and wouldn't want to live anywhere else. Especially in Lane County. its not as cold and southern and eastern Oregon.

    Hi Mindy

The oil type pressure cooker is a special cooker, so never try oil under pressure in your ordinary pressure cooker!

Thank you :) I haven't tried cooking it with a pressure cooker yet but I really want to soon. Right now I just use my little deep fryer for fried chicken.

I have a 'Chicken Pot' deep fat/pressure cooker my sister gave me years ago. Problem is, the manufacturer took them off the market suddenly and with no explanation, so now I'm reluctant to use it.

    Great Hub Mindy!
