Fairy Walking Bridge, Mt. Huang China

Updated on May 29, 2012

Have you ever wanted to do something amazing or explore a new location that is not very well known? Well here is one place I am sure you will love. Buried deep in the mountains of Xihai Grand Canyon, in huangshan China this little secret escape is a wonder to the eye.

Known as the Fairy walking bridge this highly elevated area is not for those afraid of heights. Standing more then thousand ft above sea level it offers panoramic views between two mountains in the rock. The scenic route is part of the Yellow mountain trail and is one of the peak seeing spots on the hike. This hike is known for its lengthy walk ways up the side of mountains and across valleys so it does take some time to pass it all. But the views are breathtaking from the first time you take the stairs up or when you are taking the connected bridge.

There are a couple of main paths that guide the trail one that heads to the south while the other leads to the top of the mountain known as “cloud Dispelling Pavilion in the north. Taking the south route will take you to the bridge while the north route will take you above the could at the right time of day. Both the routes are dotted with cliff over hangs and plenty of picturesque moments that can only be seen in this part of the world.

Xihai the actual mountain area where the trail starts to progress north an south gets its name from the high mountainous peaks in the region. They all seem to rise above the clouds calling for god to come down and calm the earth.

So if you are in for the hike of your life china offers this unique view of some of the most beautiful country side in the Asian country. I’m sure you will be paralyzed with its beauty as much as I was and hope you enjoy the photos.
