Make your romantic holiday memorable with these choices of hotels

Your much longed-for, romantic holiday can become a nightmare if you do not choose the right kind of accommodation. Choosing a hotel that offers the ideal kind of facilities, privacy and economy for your romantic vacation will ensure not only a relaxed vacation but will also make it a memorable trip. It is important to spend some time in choosing a hotel in order to zero-in on exactly what you want out of your romantic vacation – adventure, relaxation, tourism, unwinding or simple sweet romantic moments.

Here are five diverse suggestions that will give you a rough guideline to some of the best, romantic hotels in India to choose from.

Royal Heritage Haveli , Jaipur – Regal, cosy and a combination of both worlds, the Royal Heritage Haveli is just within 15-minute drive from Jantar Mantar and Hawa Mahal. The property dates back to the 18th century and has been restored to retain its ancient beauty and at the same time, combine facilities like free Wi-fi facilities everywhere within the hotel, a gym, spa and wellness centre, massage facilities, library and an outdoor swimming pool. The rooms are colourful and are adorned to give an antique look. The well-kept lawns and gardens around are so beautiful that you can just soak in the ambience of the beautiful surroundings and take a day off to laze within the hotel premises itself! The restaurant offers 24-hour service and the food and drinks are not a pocket-pinch.

If you want the real taste of the culture of Rajasthan and the best hospitality, do try out this recommendation of ours!

Mahua Kothi, Bandhavgarh, Madhya Pradesh – Travel back in time as you experience the atmosphere of a rustic cottage in midst of the Bandhavgarh National Park. If both of you are looking for adventure and tranquillity at the same time, book a Safari to the national park, watch tigers during the day and tuck yourselves away every night at this beautiful Safari Lodge which is owned by Taj Hotels. The chirping of birds in the silent night is a wonderful experience of a lifetime. Apart from the best modern facilities in a rustic environment, the customized service of the staff will please you no end. A dinner organized on the terrace of this facility under a starlit sky is the most romantic surprise ritual that you can give your beau!

Ri Kynjai, Shillong, Meghalaya –Years ago, Shillong was hailed the Switzerland of the East by Jawaharlal Nehru. For a small city ensconced in the Khasi Hills, this is hardly believable to those who haven’t been to Shillong ever. Overlooking the Umiam Lake, Hotel Ri Kynjai is nestled in the Khasi Hills dotted with pine groves, lush paddy fields and an organic tea garden. – just what you need for a perfect romantic getaway! The architecture of the hotel is inspired from the traditional Khasi thatched huts and makes it a cosy, romantic haven. This is just the right place to spend a quiet, undisturbed few days of long walks along the pine groves, lie in the soft, green grass in the woods under the sky and let the cool breeze kiss your face! Tickle your palates with the local cuisine offered in the restaurant, “Four Seasons” that specializes in traditional, mouth-watering north-east Indian cuisine. The premises also have a small craft store that sells local handicrafts. Very reasonably priced and extremely serene and tranquil.

Nilaya Hermitage, Goa – It is the dream-like beauty of this boutique hotel that will blow your mind away! View from the hills, overlooking an azure Arabian Sea, Nilaya Hermitage sprawls across with the exquisite beauty of its hand-carved laterite stones and free forming structures as intriguing as the Gaudi Buildings in Spain. The serenity of colours, forms and amenities make it the most classy, inspiring, romantic and sexy place to visit. Ignite your passions in the spacious and elegant rooms with both indoor and outdoor bathrooms! Early bookings are recommended as there is a lot of seasonal and even non-seasonal rush due to the high popularity of this coop.

The Zuri Kumarakom, Kerala – Set in an idyllic lake-side location, the Zuri Kumarakom is a therapeutic get-away after months of hard work and stress at work. Discover the magic in your relationship in this tranquil location in Kerala which is just 2 hours from the Cochin International Airport. The award-winning spa provides world-class Ayurvedic recipes for the senses, skin, hair and body and the health centre, interestingly named “The Body Temple”, is also a yoga and meditation centre. Unwind, reconnect and re-live your passions together at this five-star deluxe spa resort this season!
