Florida Vacation Spots: Tampa

Great Florida Vacation Spots: Tampa

Do you want a vacation? Have you been planning the perfect vacation for months? If you have, then I highly recommend you consider heading to the wonderful state of Florida, where millions go every year for great fun in a beautiful setting. One of the best destinations in Florida (and one of my personal favorites) is the city on the bay, Tampa. Tampa has a lot to offer, and two of the best attractions are described in this article: Sanibel Island and Busch Gardens.

Florida Vacation Spots: Sanibel Island

Florida is world-famous for its pristine beaches and lively seaside vacation spots. I believe that none are as attractive and beautiful as Sanibel Island, a serene paradise located just across the bay from Tampa. Accessible only via a single bridge, Sanibel Island is secluded from the hustle and bustle of a big city. There you will find a high-quality resort surrounded by opportunities for fun. You can spend all of your time on the gorgeous white sandy beaches, such as Bowman Beach, and can hire out a bicycle at Billy’s Bicycle Rentals (which is the preferred mode of transportation for locals). You can also go to the J. N. Darling National Wildlife Refuge and see exotic animals in the open – without cages. For a nice evening event, take a boat ride on the Sanibel Thriller, which promises to offer you the best tour of this beautiful island.

Florida Vacation Spots: Busch Gardens

For thrills, chills, and an exciting time, head to Busch Gardens Tampa. Along with its sister site in Williamsburg, Virginia, Busch Gardens Tampa offers an exhilarating experience for all ages. You can scream your lungs out on towering rollercoasters, or take in a relaxing show in the amphitheater. There are also numerous animal attractions to see – this park is like a zoo within a theme park! Busch Gardens is easy to get to, very affordable, and staffed with friendly employees who will help you get the most out of your trip there. It is also a very clean and safe park to visit that will wow you with the gorgeous displays of flora and fauna that you will see within the park. This is a must-see attraction on any trip to Tampa.

Florida Vacation Spots: More Attractions

Tampa has many more things for you to see and do. If you love sports, then Tampa offers three professional sports teams: the Tampa Bay Rays (Major League Baseball), Tampa Bay Buccaneers (National Football League), and the Tampa Bay Lightning (National Hockey League). You can also see college sports at the University of South Florida. The Tampa nightlife is definitely something you do not want to miss; just take a cab downtown and step into a restaurant for great food and live music. The Florida Aquarium – a 250,000 square foot showcase for exotic marine wildlife – will dazzle you not only with what is inside, but with the amazing architecture of the building itself. If you are looking for a great Florida vacation spot, then you cannot go wrong with a trip to Tampa.
