Out of curiosity, I stopped for a moment and thought about the Germany's influences to world's progress and civilization. I researched some of them and finally found the top positive influences of Deutschland to the world.

1. Cars

Generally, it is everyone's dream to have a German car. German cars are fast cars. No wonder that Germany is one of the country in the world without car speed limit in primary road network. I bet some of you want to try to experience this no speed limit they are implementing.

Karl Friedrich Benz- a German engineer who invented the petrol-powered automobile.

Here are a list of some of the most famous German car manufacturers in the world .

2. Classical Music

Classical music rooted in the West. Most of the best classical musicians such as Johann Sebastian Bach, George Fridiric Handel, Ludwig Van Beethoven, Johannes Brahms, and Richard Wagner were German.

This style of music is part of our past and is still part of musical production in orchestra and theater arts in the present.

3. Beers

Beer is a major part of European culture. A 2010 report showed that Germany ranked second in terms of per-capita beer consumption. It is also one of the exporter of beer around the world.

German beer also comes in many varieties you can ever imagine.

4. Science

Germany has been the home of the great scientists and Nobel Prize winners. Nobel Prizes in Chemistry, starting with Hermann Emil Fischer.

Albert Einstein, a German physicist and 1921 Nobel Prize awardee, introduced the modern physics to the world.

Julius Richard Petri was a German bacteriologist and inventor of Petri-dish-kind of laboratory tool made of a glass or plastic cylindrical lidded dish that biologists use to culture cells or small moss plants

Alois Alzheimer, a German neuropathologist in 1906 described this common disease that affect 1 out of 85 people around the world.

5. Technology

Engineering is also a bread and butter of this land. Most of the inventors and mathematicians were born here. Germany take a significant part in the world's technology. Fast vehicles like trains and car are found here, even the first computer. Name it and they have it.

6. Philosophy

Gottfried Leibniz, a prominent German philosopher, independently discovered calculus.

7. Literature

  • Grimm's Fairy Tales or Kinder- und Hausmärchen are authored by the German brothers- Jacob and Wilhelm.

All of us became a child once. We played games, read lots of books and listened to bedtime stories. Speaking of bedtime stories we always remember of fairy tales our parents have read to us before we go to sleep.

  • German language

One of the most commonly used language all over the world.

8. Cuisine

There is a saying "Food is the way to a man's heart." Well, Germany really find the way to capture the heart of everyone.

Here are some of the list of German cuisine familiar to most of us.

  • Black Forest Cake - oh I love it! especially the cherries on top. I always reserve the best for last!
  • Hamburger- name after a place in Germany- Hamburg
  • Sausages- 30 and more varieties of sausages in Germany.
  • Bread- About 600 main types of breads and 1,200 different types of pastries and rolls are produced in about 17,000 bakeries and another 10,000 in-shop bakeries.


9. Architecture

In reading Fairy tales, there is a king, a queen, a princess and a palace. Palace is not only a part of an imagination. Palace do exist in reality. You can find around 150 of palaces in Germany.

10. Sports

In Olympics, Germans are consistent participants and winners.

Most of the Formula One racers are Germans too.

      As a german guy I can say it is all truth what is written here. But I really wonder that foreign people think that way about germany. Very good job and very cushy to read!
