History of the Haunted Houses

Universal Studios Orlando has hosted what is called, Halloween Horror Nights since, 1991 and it always features live shows and creepy creatures in the streets. One unique thing about this frightful place is, that each year they add new attractions and keep it fresh and so there are no repeats.

Dungeon Of Terror: It was a maze featuring Wolfman, The Mummy, Frankenstein, Gill man and of course, Count Dracula with his cape and casket. The Count would not be complete without his items. The freaks came out of the darkness and used plenty of jump scares to get screams.

The People Under The Stairs: This was based slightly on the film but, you watch some gruesome creatures eating humans ... humans. This is pretty grotesque. Not for people who are easily disturbed.

Psycho Path Maze: This is a reenactment of Norman Bates killing tenants at The Bates Motel. Norman He would rent the room that would seem normal and dressing like his mother. Not a good movie for younger viewers, it is very graphic, to say the least.

The Bone Yard, Hell's Kitchen: The bone yard is a grave yard for you to walk through. The only problem is people are coming out of the ground. Don't let the people get you.

Terror Underground, Crypt Keeper's Dungeon: The Crypt Keeper's dungeon is open to the tour and then he will tell you about Terror Underground. You ride a New York subway with ghosts at every turn. In the end ghosts enter the subway trains. Boo!!

Toy Hell, Crypt Keeper's Tour of Terror: Toy Hell is a haunted toy making factory with a problem. The toys come back to life. Also, The Crypt Keeper hosted a parade. This seems like every child's nightmare. The toys creeping around and sneaking up on them.

Hotel Hell, Tombs of Terror, Museum of Horror: In Hotel Hell you watch a Chef go ballistic in the kitchen and the Museum of Horror takes you back in time.

Hell's High, S.S. Frightanic: With Frightanic you will never want to board a ship again. There are ghouls and monsters every where aboard this ship.

Doomsday, Insanity, Pyscho: Pyscho shows Norman Bates again playing himself and his mother. The house is very realistic looking and looks like the exact house on the psycho movies.

Anxiety 3D, Fearhouse, Dark Torment: Fearhouse features scary figures from over twenty years of monsters so take your pick.

Pitch Black, The Mummy Returns, Superstitions: Pitch Black puts you in a far away place in the dark and The Mummy Returns but, he is faster.

Fear Factor, Maximum Carnage, Scream House: Scream House is self explanatory and Fear Factor shows contestants who did not survive the auditions. This game is so unique because we all know the show now, you get to see the horror in person.

Funhouse of Fear, Jungle of Doom, Ship of Screams: Funhouse has clowns that make the one on it seem lame and the Ship of Screams features ghosts in the waves of the water. The ship of screams is just what it says, it is the ship of screams

Castle Vampire, Horror in Wax, Ghost Town, Hellgate Prison: A Castle haunted house filled with vampires and bats and a haunted ghost town that has a problem. It's not empty. You will be brought through the house. We will see who survives.

Demon Cantina, Terror Mines, Body Collectors: The gold mines have never seemed so scary, I think we dug to hell.

All Night Die in, Scream House Resurrection, Run, Hostile Territory: In die in you get to watch a drive in movie unlike any other.

Nightmare on Elm Street, Jack's Funhouse, Friday the 13th, Texas Chainsaw Massacre: Witness Freddy Krueger and Leather face in there haunted houses.
