HeARTS of Loveland, Colorado
The city of Loveland, Colorado, was named number two on the list of "The 100 Best Art Towns in America", second only to Sante Fe, New Mexico. Loveland is also known as "The Sweetheart City" because of its Valentine's Day re-mailing program and decorations throughout the town on that holiday.
Combining Loveland's culture of art and its celebration of Valentine's Day, a project was started called "Loveland: A City with HeART" that makes hearts visible throughout the city all year long. The project places fiberglass hearts, standing five feet tall and four and a half feet wide, around the city. The hearts are sponsored by businesses and individuals and painted by local artists. As of now there are eighteen of the hearts in Loveland. To sponser a HeART, submit a design, or to download a City with HeART Map visit the HeARTS of Loveland website.
