Heifer International Headquarters is located in Little Rock, Arkansas. If you don't know Heifer and have a charitable heart, learn all you can. Heifer does fundraising as a charity, but they do things differently.

A wise proverb; "Give a man a fish, and he will eat for a day, teach a man to fish, and he will eat for a lifetime" is how Heifer International operates.

When Heifer solicits funds, it is in for agricultural purchases, which go to third-world countries, tribes in poverty, and other parts of the world, where entire villages are starving for lack of food.

Heifer's unique program makes gifts of chickens, ducks, goats, rabbits, heifers, and even the Noah's Ark Menagerie; which is a whole lot of critters. Not only do they provide the livestock and fowl, but they go along, and assist the communities they help, with growing their herds, and becoming an agri-business.

Heifer Ranch is located in Perryville, Arkansas, about 45 minutes from Little Rock. You could do both the ranch and headquarters in one day, but for the full experience, take a couple of days, stay at the ranch overnight, and then hit the headquarters.

The Heifer Parking Lot design is most amazing. Automobiles drip oil and exhaust juice. They leak and whine and make nasty messes every day.

An instrumental design of the Brownfield Revitalization program for Heifer. the parking lot contains all of the toxins left by vehicles. Once a Superfund property Heifer Headquarters is LEED certified.

Initially, they formed a committee, did scientific planning and studies to make this facility as green as possible and really cleaned up this area.

Heifer International Headquarters is called a ZeroWater facility. They recycle ALL their water. Around the property are wetland marshes, created to use and reuse all of the waste and water.**

Oil and other toxins from autos cannot escape their encapsulated parking lot system. Whether or not you take the "tour" you can go see the Headquarters grounds, and certainly check out the innovative parking lot design!

Heifer International headquarters is located near the Clinton School of Public Service, and the Clinton Presidential Library those are in walking distance and are wheelchair accessible.
