Hello Kitty Collectible Pin
Hello Kitty Burger at Plan Check + Bar
Strawberry and Cream Cruller Donuts at Plan Check Kitchen + Bar
Plan Check Kitchen + Bar
My first stop during the hunt was at the brand new Plan Check Kitchen + Bar on Wilshire Blvd.
Located in downtown Los Angeles, it's the third Plan Check Kitchen + Bar to open in Los Angeles. The other two are on Sawtelle Blvd. and Fairfax Ave.
Executive Chef Ernesto Uchimura offers diners a Hello Kitty Bento Box through November 21, 2014. Served on a cookie sheet is a delicious burger with pink cheese, teriyaki onions, kombu pickles, and miso mayonnaise.
A small fryer basket is filled with French fries dusted with smoked salt and served with a bacon dipping spread.
In another container is a spicy tuna salad with sriracha dressing, crispy rice and avocado on top of yellow Frisee.
For dessert, there is a strawberry and cream cruller donut with a scoop of ice cream. After dessert, guests receive a collectible pin of Hello Kitty holding a burger and a Hungry Hunt map of the other participating restaurants.
Plan Check offers creative fare with an Asian fusion. Be sure to try the pickled beet salad, meat and potatoes beef short rib pot roast with cheesy tots, caramelized tomato on a bed of cauliflower puree with flaked wasabi.
There is an extensive craft beer collect on draft and in bottles and cans. Wine by the glass and creative cocktails.
During Happy Hour enjoy $2 off all draft beer, $6 S&L Old Fashioned and $8 Tropic Thunder.

Hello Kitty Is Not A Cat
For those who may unfamiliar with Hello Kitty, she is a little girl, not a cat. Even though she has whiskers and pointy ears, she stands on two feet and not four, like a cat.
Hello Kitty lives with her parents in London. She has a twin sister named Mimmy, a cat named Charmmy Kitty and a hamster named Sugar.
There is a motor oil and wine that she appears on, as well as, about 50,000 other products.
