Hey Tacomians! Did you know about Dumas Bay Park, next to Dash Point State Park?
Explore the parks dotting Marine View Drive in Brownspoint, Tacoma area
On a hot summer day in the Puget Sound, you have probably headed to Dash Point State Park at least once, if you live in the area. It's a popular beach destination in the South Sound region, with a forest of trails leading towards an expansive open sandy coast, less usual among the rocky zones of many Northwest beaches. On its own, and on a beautiful day, its enjoyable, but combined with the lesser known natural beach zones in the area, this area can become more of a destination drive. Check out Dumas Bay, swing by the lighthouse, and pop into the other Dash Point city park, to complete a full trip of Puget Sound beach combing on this stretch of sandy coast.
