Hilton Hotel At Ballston Metro Center
The Ballston Hilton is conveniently located right next to the Ballston Metro exit. There are also several bus stops located at this Metro exit served by Metrobuses and ART buses. If you arrive into D.C. at the Ronald Reagan National Airport, you can get here in about 30 minutes easily. You just need to take the Blue Metro Line towards Largo Town Center and switch to the Orange Line towards Vienna/Fairfax at Rosslyn. When you come out of the Ballston Station walk straight into the building that says Ballston Metro Center and to the right you will see a sign pointing that says hotel.I found the staff to be overall very friendly and helpful. I arrived at 10ma on my check-in day and figured I would just have them store my luggage until I could check in later, but they instead gave me my room early for no additional fee or anything. They were also very helpful when I left and had a lot of luggage to take to my apartment I had just rented by rolling it out and loading it into the taxi.I had a room with two double beds. The room also had a stand with a coffee pot and two cups, a TV stand with drawers, a desk, and a chair with footrest. The room itself was adequately sized. The bathroom on the other hand was kind of awkward with the way the door opens so close to the toilet and the minimal space it occupies. The hotel offers wifi in the rooms through iBahn. It costs $10.95 for 24 hours or $2.95 for 15 minutes. There is a Starbucks very close at 901 N. Stuart St. that is a good option for those that already pay for monthly T-Mobile access. The rooms do have air conditioning, but they are not very good. Many people were complaining they had not worked at all the night before I checked in. The things have an option of low or high fan, but even the high fan does not blow very well. No matter the temperature we set it down to it never got very cool, but would stop blowing as if it had reached the temperature so we would lower it again to kick it back on. It certainly remained reasonable for the most part, however it was quite warm in the afternoon.Food options at the hotel are pretty limited with one restaurant and room service, which both seem to be not worth the price, however I cannot really sat as I decided not to try once I saw the prices. Nearby I found a convenience store in an apartment building and a Shell gas station to get soda, snacks, and other food items. There is also a COSI across the street from the Ballston Metro exit. There is also a IHOP and Smoothie King that I noticed nearby.
