How to Book Seva or Puja Online at Tirumala Tirupati Temple

Tirumala Tirupati Balaji or Venkateswara Temple in Andhra Pradesh receives a minimum of 65000 pilgrims every day. The figure exceeds 100,000 and even more during weekends, holidays and festivals. Needless to say, it will be a task to offer your seva or Poojas at the holy temple without trouble. So a proper planning is essential to tackle this issue.

The Titurmala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has taken several steps meant for the comfort of the pilgrims. The technological initiatives of TTD will greatly help you to perform seva at the temple with peace of mind. All you need to do is reach the temple with proper planning. The planning primarily includes registering with TTD’s online portal and make use of the services offered online. Here what I attempt is helping you how to book seva online.

There are three types of rituals performed at this temple daily, weekly and annual. It may be noted that the daily rituals conducted here are as ordained by Sri Ramanujacharya, the most revered Sri Vaishnavite Saint.

In seva, the most sought after one is the Arjithas seva. This refers to the participation of devotees in the temple rituals on payment of a fixed fee. The pilgrims need to observe the traditional dress code strictly to take part in the arjitha seva.

Points to note

  • Pilgrim can book a minimum of 1 day in advance and maximum of 60 days.
  • Two same seva tickets can be booked on same seva date across all seva.
  • If you are booking 2 seva tickets, the accompanying seva pilgrim’s name and his photograph need to be uploaded
  • Tickets for all the Arjitha sevas and festivals are sold in 90 days advance.
  • You must wear traditional dresses. It is a recent reform implemented by the TTD.

How to book Seva online

It is presumed that you have registered with the site and have created a User ID. If not, please do right now as it is mandatory for availing all the online services of the hill temple. Please pay attention to the photos (screen shots) given below for more clarification and to familiarize yourself with the online procedure.

  1. Log into the site by entering your Username & Password.
  2. Select eSeva (shown after eSpecial Entry Darshan on the right side)
  3. Check the availability of your preferred date by selecting your seva name and date clicking on the pop-up calendar (When you find the date is ok, close the window of the pop-up menu ).
  4. Click date that you found convenient and available (from the pop-up calendar)
  5. Check (tick) the Seva Name
  6. Select Ticket (1 or 2 only)
  7. Click CONTINUE button
  8. Your Personal Information Page appears. (Fill up the required data and upload your photo)
  9. Check " I Agree the Terms & Conditions" option.
  10. Click CONTINUE.

Now you get Seva Booking Details and also Seva Transaction ID (Number). This Transaction Number will help you to track the status of booking, in case of any issues later.

Then comes your Personal Information as you typed. Below that, you will see the "Payment Options". You need to enter the required details. Please note that Bank option will be Citi Bank. Don't worry on the fact that you have no account with the bank. It is a Gateway to facilitate payment from any bank. The Citi Bank Gateway accepts all Banks Master/Visa Cards. You can make payment using either Debit or Credit card.

On clicking PROCEED TO PAYMENT, you will be taken to the concerned Card facilitator's page, where you can enter the required data, which is very minimal.

After payment, your receipt will be automatically generated. Take its print out and carry the same to show at the counter/gate during your visit. You should carry the receipt copy as well the ID card (in original) used for online booking, during your darshan time.
