Updated on July 18, 2015

Calling all travelers and world explorers! If you are planning on heading over to Europe for your next vacay, or are not quite sure yet where you wish to travel to, Ireland is definitely a place to be considered!

Wondering what there is to do in Ireland? Well, I have the Ireland travel tips that will convince you that Ireland is the place to be!

With so much to do and see on the beautiful island of Ireland, you will want at least a week of planned vacation time to spend at Ireland, not counting the travel time there and back home. Here, I will give you some good ideas for things to do, places to stay, and where/what you should eat! Here goes…

Things To Do in Ireland

With so much to do and see here, you cannot possibly ever be bored! Be sure to pack your vacation itinerary full of activities for all who will be traveling!

  • Zoos and aquariums: If you’re looking for good family fun, then zoos and aquariums are where it’s at! Explore the Dublin Zoo or take a trip over to Ireland’s largest aquarium, Galway Atlantaquaria!

  • Tours: If you’re looking for some more leisurely family adventures, then taking a tour is a great idea. Not only will you learn lots about local venues and events, but you will also have an opportunity to sit back and relax while someone else does the work! Letterfrack Bay Water Tours in Galway offers many exhibits, traveling by way of a glass bottom boat!

  • Nature: With such beautiful scenery, it’s always a good idea to get out and explore the great outdoors. Ireland features many hiking trails through national parks and coastal walks revealing much of Ireland’s natural beauty. There’s also places that offer rock climbing such as KerryClimbing in Killarney or water fun at Star Outdoors Adventure Centre in Kenmare. Want to see more of Irelands shores? Then why not learn how to surf in the process by attending Bens Surf Clinic in Lahinch?

  • Castles: Whether you want to sightsee or stay in a castle, you must see some of the amazing castles around Ireland! Blarney Castle and Doe Castle are two that you should fit in, but if there is only time to see one castle, you must see Ashford Castle, which has now been turned into a five-star hotel to preserve its charm!

When visiting Ireland, I always recommend anything outdoors because you can do things indoors anywhere else! With the gorgeous landscapes of Ireland and its shores, you should not miss a beat outside!
