Themed Rides and Shows
Island's of Adventure is a part of Universal Studios. Universal Studios consists of The Island's of Adventure Amusement Park, The Universal Studios Theme Park and City Walk. City Walk consists of over twenty restaurants and clubs that over look the water.
One thing that I like about this theme park is that they offer an express pass. This will guarantee that your wait time in line will be cut in half. What the Express Pass does, is that, it allows you to skip to the front of the line.
There are water misters throughout the park to help cool you off and to keep you from having a heat stroke.
Dueling Dragons Roller Coaster: These two roller coasters look like they are competing against each other and at one point they look as if they are going to collide head on. One is blue and its called Ice and the other coaster is red and it is named Fire.
The Incredible Hulk Roller Coaster: On this "incredible" coaster, instead of being pulled up the incline with a mechanical lift, this coast will blast you over it's track at seventy miles per hour. It has very wide turns that are intense on this very fun roller coaster.
Jurassic Park Ride: You will ride on a boat through water. It is the most realistic look at the dinosaurs. At the end, there's a roller coaster style hill and T-Rex is staring you in the face. As you stroll along the River you will encounter many prehistoric creatures.
Dr. Doom's Fear Fall: On this ride, you are in a seated position. You are hoisted to the top, then, you take a free fall two hundred stories. You can see the park and more as you soar to the skies.
The Amazing Spiderman: The Spiderman ride is an illusion in that you feel like Spiderman is taking his spider web and slinging you along the tracks. You were 3D glasses the entire time that you are on this ride and as you travel through the city.
Rip Saw Falls: Think of it as a log ride on a roller coaster track. You are splashing around on the track and then at the end there's the classic drop off at the end. It's a water ride with a roller coaster style drop off at the end.
Storm Force: This ride is the teacups with a kick. The teacup has Magneto and Wolverine type themes at the ride. You are jerked a liitle harder and in every possible direction more than the regular teacup ride. This ride is slightly faster than the regular teacup ride. a in every possible direction and you see Magneto at every turn.
Pre-Historic Bird Ride: Soar eighty feet in the air and get the bird's eye view of the entire park from this ride.
The Harry Potter Ride: Features a roller coaster and a 4D visual tour of the world of Harry Potter. Special effects make this ride truly special. Harry Potter enthusiasts will love this ride.
Merry-Go-Round: This carousel is one of a kind because, you can control the ride. By the push of a button, you can make your reindeer wiggle, blink and turn it's head. Oh yeah, an elephant controls the carousel from up above.
Trolley Tree Ride: This train ride is for adults as well as children. This train travels at medium speed throughout the park so that you can get a glimpse of the entire park.
Log Ride: You go up and down two hills but, at the end, you go down a colossal hill and you splash the onlookers down below.
Flying Unicorn Kid Roller Coaster: This roller coaster has small hills that are fit for the children. The ride is not very fast or far off the ground but, still goes fast enough to entertain the kids.
The Poseidon's Fury is a special effects show that is performed in an underground tunnel that leads to Poseidon's headquarters.
There's a live pirate stunt show where pirates sling their swords and jump around on the ship. This live show is fun for the whole family.
Dinosaur Discovery Center: This dinosaur museum is themed after Jurassic Park. It has actual fossils from the dinosaur age and other fun facts and information about the pre-historic area.
Islands of Adventure also has a superhero parade for all to see.
I am only listing the places that I have visited personally during my four visits.
Green Eggs and Ham Cafe: Don't let this cartoon themed restaurant fool you. It is unique in look and in taste. Pizza and burgers are appealing to the kids.
Hop on Pop Ice Cream Shop: The ice cream shop has about twenty different flavors of ice cream. The banana split is my personal favorite.
Circus Cafe: This cafe has a special chicken finger sauce that is out of this world. They also serve burgers and fries and milkshakes. This restaurant is a lot like Johnny Rockets and they play music the entire time.
