Kamay ni Hesus, Lucban Quezon, Another Pride of the Philippines
The way going to Kamay ni Hesus
It's Pilgrimage site, with a Statue of Jesus with his hands openwide, standing on the 300 steps mountain, and below this mountain is the main church
Kamay ni Hesus or Hands of Jesus, is located at Lucban Quezon, at least 4 hours travel time from Manila passing thru the Alaminos, San Pablo Laguna road. Travel time can be lesser through the alternate Zigzag road passing Pagsanjan Laguna.
I went there with officemates for our teambuilding activity, and at the same time to experience the Pahiyas Festival per invatation of our Boss who is a native of Lucban Quezon.
I was surprised to see "Kamay ni Hesus", I did not know that we have something like that in south.
It was a great place and I am not surprised it became a popular tourist spot in Quezon
We arrived at the place at 930 am, it was already crowded that we needed to walk going to the 2nd gate. The place was especially crowded because tourist from all over came to visit the place and at the same time to witness the Pahiyas Festival the following day.
Kamay ni Hesus was a Huge place, that will show you a lot even you are just at the main entrance. Life size statues of Saints are everywhere. All of them will remind you of what you read in the bible and some mysteries we prayed in the Holy Rosary. The place has a multi-purpose hall for other activities, and they also have a place available for tourists who wanted to stay overnight or for a few days. Kamay ni Hesus is not just a place to pray but a place to remember our childhood bible where we first learned about Adam and Eve and Noah's Arc.
No regrets I joined the team building. To witness a place like this is something I should not miss and I wish I can return here with my family and close friends even for an overnight stay only.
The Main Church
The Main Church
We visited the church which has an on-going mass and healing service. Most visitors came to this place to experience healing, it is also a place to pray the rosary. The healing here is deeper than you can imagine. more than physical pain it can help you heal all the inner pains that you feel. The place will enhance your faith to Almighty. I prayed for my health and my love one's health, and more guidance from him so that we will lead a good life always...
The Church is very simple and not that big but can accommodate large number of visitors. the wonder of faith.
300 Steps Divine Shrine
Just beside the Church is the view of the 300 Steps Divine Shrine where you can see the top with the huge image of Jesus Christ with his hands spreading apart, as if to welcome the people. I guess that's how they named the place as Kamay ni Hesus.
It was 300 steps and you can take your time going up, and you will have all the time in the world to pray in every station. This is not intended for you to rush because there are reasons to stop from time to time until you reached The Kamay ni Hesus Image. You can wish for what your heart desires, or just pray and be thankful you were able to reach the top. I will surely prepare for it, the next time I'll visit the place.
One of the main attractions of the 300 steps shrine is the life size Last Supper Image.
Garden of Eden
Another attraction is the Garden of Eden, which shows life size image of Adam and Eve, one suggesting the first day of creation and the other one about the two enjoying the paradise and got tempted
A few walks away from them is the statue of Huge animals like Elephant, Giraffe and Bear, and Children went to them to play. Reminded me of early bible reading, that the real paradise is a beautiful place where even animals in the wild are docile and people can come to them and hug them.
Behind those Animals is the Noah's Arc replica, which is actually a place that tourists can stay (advance reservation to avail of the place) for a very reasonable price..
