Beautiful Lake Pend Oreille in Idaho

Lake Pend Oreille is the largest natural lake in Idaho. Created by a Glacier it is 65 miles long, 6 miles across and is over 1150 feet deep in some places. Beside being a big lake it is absolutely beautiful.

Located in Sandpoint, Idaho. Which is in the northern part of Idaho, not far from Bonners Ferry, Id, Kootenay Lake, British Columbia, Montana, and Washington.

Lake Pend Oreille is a definite must see in Idaho

It is a huge Lake, in fact Pend O'reille is the largest lake in Idaho.

The lake catches your eye from the moment you get beside it and captures your heart with the beauty as it unfolds before you. You never really get to see the entire lake all at once as the drive takes you on winding curves that seem to just go one and on. Hidden coves and places to be discovered around each corner.

Lake Pend Orielle is a great recreation destination

At Lake Pend Oreille you can enjoy many different types of activities including fishing, birdwatching, waterskiing, sailing, boating, sightseeing, photography, hiking, picnics, camping and just enjoying the great outdoors.

TheHealthGuy commented:

Pend Oreille is simply breath taking. I started spending my summers on the lake when I was 2yrs old. My grandfather wanted to bring me up but my mom was worried cuz he was crippled. So on his hands and knees he built a fence around the property and my mom couldn't say no. Of course she too would come up as well but I spent many hours fishing with my grandpa on Pend Oreille.

I'm in Salmon Idaho. What we have best is whitewater rafting on the Salmon River.
