Be Careful out there
As Spring begins to bloom, most creatures at the Zoo are beginning to stretch and perk up, all rested from a long and cold winter, the Animals at the Zoo. This Spring of 2015, the two-legged mammals (humans) are happy to break out of the house for a few hours of enjoyment, entertainment and good eating.
Animal and Zoo lovers are pleased to welcome our new Penguins to town. Hope to see you at the monkey enclosure, and don't forget to say hi to Ella the Elephant. Plan to take your family to the Little Rock Zoo. There are many exciting events planned throughout the year. March, April and May of 2015 are filled with fun and exciting events.

Please support your local Zoo!
This is affordable fun, and a good way to introduce the children to Wild Animal care and finding out about other parts of the World, where the Animals have their habitat. While they are small, build memories such as a day at the Little Rock Zoo Grab some Greek / American Food at Leo's Greek Castle very nearby, in the Heights.

Different Ways To Get To The Zoo
Honoring - Ellen the Elephant...
A local icon of the Little Rock Zoo Ellen The Elephant, crossed the Rainbow Bridge on July 5 2011, surrounded by zoo staff and caretakers; the humans who loved her. Ellen was so popular, she has her own Facebook Page.
Our zoo in Little Rock is a type of Hospice Care zoo. The critters who come to Little Rock are here to live their final days in comfort and with love. When Ellen came over 25 years ago, it was with the expectation she did not have long to live. Something about love, intention and care gave Ellen a second wind of life, enriching all of our lives.
We will never forget you Ellen. Thank you to all of the staff, veterinarians, donors, Friends of the Zoo, and City of Little Rock for all the care given to these precious animals.
