Mumbai-the 'star' city

Mumbai is the hub of India's economic life. Almost half of India's income tax collection is made in mumbai. this tells the volume of bussiness in turn-over there.

Originally, Mumbai was a group of Seven Islands. But now, it is so developed and linked that nobody believes that it was a group of islands! On the bank of Arabian sea on one side, it has the protection of Sahyadri mountains.

Mumbai has the deep natural harbour.

Original inhabitants of these islands were the fiherman communities. The land belonged to local rulers. Later occupied by portugeese and handed over to British as a token of a matrimonial relationship

Mumbai contrubutes for the growth of GDP by 5%,Ins industrial output is 25%of total Indian industrial production. It carries out 40% of Indian maritime trade. It also carries out 70%of india's capital transaction.

Excellent topic. Photos are amazing and captivating. But you could have added some more text. Anyhow as the famous saying, I must say that, a picture is worth thousand words. I have plan to visit the city next May and I will take note of this article. Keep on writing. All the best.

I really enjoyed reading your hub!

I have also same opinion that Mumbai is one of most attractive city of India.

And also known as “City of Dreams”.

‘Arial view of Mumbai’ and ‘A view of Mumbai -Pune highway’ are such a great pictures of this city.

We (Mike and me) will explore Mumbai with the help of http://www.southalltravel.co.uk in the month of April. I think it is well connected to Delhi.
