Have you ever wanted to create an adventure bucket list but, didn't know where to start?

Adventure traveling is all the rage right now and, for good reason. People are starting to realize that there is more to life than just working and paying bills and they are seeking out adventure to feel free, enlightened, and to have a sense that they are truly living life to the fullest potential!

I know that adventure traveling is super important for me and seeking out new adventures is an absolute must! I'm going to help you pick out the top 3 places that need to be on your adventure bucket list for 2018!

Havasu Falls in Arizona

Havasu Falls is nestled near a small village called, Supai, AZ which is on Havasupai Indian Reservation and is apart of the Grand Canyon. To be able to experience this epic hiking adventure you will have to make reservations with the reservation. Reservations open February 1, 2018!!

How to Experience Havasu Falls

Being able to experience Havasu Falls is a rare treat that very few people get to experience. The falls are located on the Havasupai Falls Indian Reservation and being able to take this hike and camp near the falls you'll need to reserve your spot. Reservations for this oasis start February 1, 2018. Reserve your spot here as they fill up very quickly.

When planning your trip to Havasu Falls you need to remember that this is not a day trip, where you hike in and then out. You'll need to stay at least one night at the campground.

The hike in is 10 miles and the hike out is 10 miles. I highly recommending staying at the minimum of 3 nights. This gives you plenty of time to relax, enjoy the falls, explore, and maybe take another small trek to the confluence of the Colorado River.

Things to keep in mind about this hike is it is in the desert. So, you will be exposed to extreme heat with little to no shade if you're planning this trip in the summer. However, people love experiencing Havasu Falls in the summer to be able to experience and play in the gorgeous, turquoise colored waters without the water being too cold.

Others like to experience Havasu Falls in the early Spring and Fall so that there hike is a little more bearable. Some people have reported that the water was still at a temperature of comfort during these times to play around in the water.

For the 2018 year Havasu Falls Camping office has made a very easy fee structure as follows:

2 Days/ 1 Night - $140.56/person

3 Days/ 2 Nights - $171.11/person

4 Days/ 3 Nights - $201.67/person

Please keep in mind that weeknights ( Friday, Saturday, Sunday ), Holiday Weekend Nights ( February 19, May 28, July 4, September 3, & October 8 ), and Spring Break Weekday nights ( March 5-8 & March 19-22 ) are an additional $18.33 per night. So you may want to keep those dates in mind while planning your trip.

Also note that all fees are due at the time of your reservation and if you're traveling in a group the whole reservation will have to be on one card. No refunds are available.

Other Regulations

- NO Cliff Jumping

- NO drones ( they will be confiscated )

- NO drugs or alcohol ( possible up to $1000 fine )

- NO Littering ( it's just rude! )

- NO Day Hiking ( It's almost a 20 mile round trip )

The Havasu Falls campground is about a mile long and sits between Havasu Falls and Mooney Falls. Try getting a campsite close to the river ... setting up a hammock is the ultimate relaxation delight by the river! There is a potable water spigot but I still recommend taking a filtration device and there was 4 bathrooms that people have reported to be very clean. NO showers are available! Take some cleansing wipes with you to freshen up if you wish.

This place is a paradise! And please remember if you pack it in pack it out and don't be a littler bug!

Glacier National Park

If you want to experience pure heaven and an additional world wonder in my book then you cannot miss Glacier National Park located near Hungry Horse, MT!

One of the most beautiful treasures in Montana.

Montana is one of the most beautiful states in the United States and people from all over seek out this state for vacation and for relocation all the time. From beautiful plains, to gorgeous mountains, to clear waters, to hiking trails in abundance; Montana is my happy place.

One of the most treasured places to me and one I feel needs to be on your 2018 bucket list is Glacier National Park, known as "Crown of the Continent", located in the Northwest corner of Montana. The park boosts gorgeous glaciers, wildlife, hiking trails, backcountry backpacking and camping, day hikes, day camping sites, waterfalls, clear lakes, and so much more.

You cannot experience this national park in one day, you just can't! While you can absolutely start at either the west or east entrance and drive the Going to the Sun road and tour along in one day you will want to go back and explore in deeper.

The first time I went that is what we did. We started at the west entrance and drove up the Going to the Sun road and ended at the east entrance, turned around and came back through again. The second time we explored more trails, lakes, fished, and wandered around.

To get into Glacier National Park you'll have to pay $30 and that's valid for 7 days in the park and it's completely worth it. You can also purchase an annual pass for the park for $50; which I'd do if I lived within an hour from this place! You also have the option of purchasing an America the Beautiful Pass series which is $80 annually and covers you entrance to every National Park and Federal Recreational Lands. It's worth it if you plan on visiting several National Parks throughout the year. You can learn more here about the various annual passes for National Parks.

Glacier National Park is comprised of 1,583 square foot miles of wilderness with glacier carved peaks and valleys running to the Canadian border. You can be sure to stay plenty busy in this park as it's host to roughly 700 miles of hiking trails!

If you are planning to camp in Glacier National Park you'll want to do some pre-planning as some sites are permit only, some are first come first serve, and backcountry campsites need permits and you will have to go through a registration.

Glacier National Park is one of the premier destinations of National Parks and there is no limit to what can be explored there. Several tours are available, lodging within the park and several towns near by the peak everyones interest!

Please DO NOT forget that Glacier National Park is home to many species of wildlife including, but not limited to; Grizzly bears, black bears, mountain lions, moose, elk, and deer. If you are hiking it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED you carry Bear Spray which is available at several gas stations, park offices, outdoor supply stores, and just about everywhere. You can't fly with bear spray as it is pressurized and is like mace on steroids. Please be aware of your surroundings, don't leave food out, pack out what you pack in and talk with park offices about current sightings of bears and trail closures due to high bear activity.

Whitefish, Montana

To go along with your trip to Glacier National Park stay awhile and explore what Whitefish, Montana has to offer!

A Beautiful Treasure

Whitefish, Montana is one of the cutest and most diverse towns I have ever been to! It's home to the beautiful Whitefish Lake, Whitefish Mountain Ski Resort, craft beer, hiking trails, rivers a plenty, and the nicest people ever.

During the summer of 2017 I spent so much time kayaking on the beautiful Whitefish Lake; which hosts City Beach! City Beach is a wonderful, free, and clean city beach to enjoy swimming, kayaking, SUP'ing, or simply soaking up some wonderful mountain rays of sunshine. There were several times I just went and sat on the beach and napped and read a book. It's the perfect spot for families or whomever! The view of the mountains with the lake is pure heaven! You can also rent kayaks and SUP boards as well so don't worry if you don't have your own!

Whitefish offers some amazing dinning and shopping experiences in addition to some of the amazing outdoor activities. Some of my favorite restaurants are; Amazing Crepes, Bulldog Saloon & Grill, City Brew, Great Northern Brewing CO, and Latitude 48.

Shopping ranges from jewelry shops stocked with Montana sapphires, art galleries, outdoor sporting goods, the wonderful Montana Scene shop, and several unique shops to the city itself.

You won't be disappointed this town landed on your bucket list this year!

Always be a Great Guest Who's Welcome Back!

Always remember when you're going to new towns, lakes, national parks and the like to leave the place better than you left it! In order to keep the beautiful places we all enjoy visiting beautiful and accessible we need to keep them clean and free of trash.

If you see trash pick it up or notify some in charge if the mess is too big.

I hope you enjoy these places to add to your bucket list and I hope you'll come back for more adventures!
