Boston Harbor - looking to go kayaking, row boating, or paddle boarding on the beautiful waters of Puget Sound? Well look no further, Boston Harbor Marine has seasonal boat rentals and lessons. Just 7 miles north of Olympia, offers a beautiful view of Olympic Mountain range. Features a general store right off the dock.

Wet Science Center
The kids will have fun as they learn about importance of water conservation and how it impacts the Puget Sound ecosystem. There are lots of interactive attractions and also a spin-the-wheel trivia game where you can win a prize.

Burfoot Park is a great place for families to escape the city and become one with nature. As you enter the park, you'll are greeted by a playground which is nestled within the forest landscape. Next to the park are trails leading down to the waters of Puget Sound. Offers a specular view of the Olympics.
Tip: Make sure to stay on the trails as there are warning signs for poison oak. Some parts of the trailer are muddy so make sure to wear the appropriate footwear.

Hands On Children's Museum
The Hand's On Children's Museum is one of the premiere children's destinations in Thurston County which offers a world of interactivity and wonder. They will love the pretend shopping mart, tree house slide, art stations, giant outdoor sandbox, and other great attractions!
Tip: Admission is free every 1st Friday of the month.

Tumwater Falls Park
Tumwater Falls Park is great place to have a picnic as well as taking in some gorgeous views of the many waterfalls of the Deschutes river. Featuring a scenic nature trail loop. As you walk, you'll enjoy breathtaking views of Capitol Lake. The family will enjoy the salmon hatchery and playground which are also part of the experience.

Farmer's market is located in the downtown Olympia area close to the marina. You'll enjoy the live music, food vendors, and all of the farm fresh produce and fruits offered by local merchants. Now open all season long.
Tip: Most of the vendors except cash only. You can buy tokens at the information desk which can be used to purchase goods.

Each year the Cottage Treehouse gift store hosts a speculator Christmas display of lights. This is no ordinary Christmas display that you drive by. No, in fact you can actually experience it firsthand! Park the car and take a stroll through this Christmas wonderland! There is so much to see!! The Cottage Treehouse has all kinds of holiday gifts. This display has become a yearly family tradition for us.

Tolmie State Park
Tolmie park offers beautiful views of the ocean inlet and the Olympic mountains. There are various trails throughout the park. Park admission is $10 a day or $30 a year which is part of the Discover Pass. The Discover Pass gives you unlimited access to all Washington State Parks.
