Nikhil is a passionate writer who has been writing on various exciting destinations in India and around the world for the past twelve months

We all know that there are seven continents in the world. Although each one of them is beautiful in its own way, Europe, the second smallest continent after Australia, is arguably the most desired and lovable of all. According to Travel Agent Central stats, Europe is the most-visited continent in the world, accounting for about 58-percent in the year 2016.

Many people around the world still dream of visiting the continent at least once in their lifetime. And people who come here once keep coming time and again due to the beautiful and fantastic places it offers to stamp in their memories.

Source

From shiny skyscrapers, magical towns, to mystical forests, history-rich castles, and modern vibe, Europe boasts all kinds of places you can ever think of. As mentioned earlier, it is the second smallest continent in the world, but it will probably take more than a lifetime to explore Europe properly.

Most of the destinations in Europe are worth your attention; however, there are some of the best, untouched ones that you should consider as top-priority in your travel bucket list. So, let’s break it down and list them below one by one:

Bonifacio, Corsica

I’m pretty sure the first view of this beautiful region on the French island of Corsica will take your breath away for some minutes. Yes, it’s looks that gorgeous! Bonifacio, meaning ‘pretty face’ in English, is a small town located on the southern tip of Corsica Island in the Mediterranean Sea. It is famous for its crystal clear, turquoise blue waters and sandy beaches.

The French novelist and playwright describe Bonifacio as “a French island basking in the Italian sun.”

Although it’s a tiny place, there is no shortage of things to do. From enjoying diving, snorkeling, to escaping in the nearby mountains and exploring hilltop villages, Bonifacio offers plenty of options.

If you’re planning for a bachelorette or searching for a romantic getaway in a new, untouched beach destination in Europe, then Bonifacio can be a great place for you.

Dubrovnik, Croatia

It is probably one of the most underrated places in Europe. Though Zagreb is Croatia’s capital, Dubrovnik is the city called the ‘Pearl of the Adriatic.’ For centuries, it has been ruled by the Hungarians and the Venetians. And it is evident in and around the town. Every year, hundreds and thousands of travelers flock to this magnificent walled city in search of making beautiful, unforgettable memories.

Source

You should plan your trip to Dubrovnik at least once in your lifetime to see the stunning views and attractions, taste the mouth-watering seafood, and experience the unique history and things to enjoy. Below are some of the best must-visit attractions to see and things to see in Dubrovnik:

  • Game of Thrones Walking Tour of Dubrovnik
  • Dubrovnik Cable Car
  • The Dominican Monastery
  • The Island of Lokrum
  • Stradun of Dubrovnik

Mykonos, Greece

Mykonos, in the Greek islands, has become one of the most preferred spots for all kinds of young travelers. From solo travelers, honeymooners to bachelorette trips, it has been emerging as one of the best beach destinations in Europe for the past few years. Mykonos is a place that is famous for its gorgeous beaches, vivid nightlife, delicious food, magnificent sunsets, and a lot more.

Source

The local people call Mykonos town as Chora. And apart from doing exciting water activities, you can indulge in high-end shops, art galleries, or hop on to your favorite bars. Visit here with your friends, and you will be able to go hiking to the Armenistis Lighthouse, party until sunrise, or go for evening strolls at sunset in the seaside stretch of shops and restaurants- Little Venice. Plan your trip from mid-May through mid-October, and you can experience the beach-worthy weather in Mykonos.

Naples, Italy

Naples is a city in Italy that is full of historic structures, buildings, along with a blend of modern architecture. Naples is considered one of the oldest continuously livable spots in the world. From exploring the top-class museums, galleries, to taking boat tours, climbing up Mount Vesuvius, and shopping the latest in fashion, Naples refreshes both mind and mood.

Head to the Gaiola Island, located at the heart of the Gaiola Underwater Park, and you will enjoy scenic views with your better half. The underwater marine reserve consists of Roman ruins and also has a protected cove inside of it. For those looking for some light fun, be sure to visit Edenlandia Amusement Park. Some of the other worth-visiting places in Naples include Baia Trentaremi, Naples Zoo, Lungomare Caracciolo, and Botanical Garden of Naples.

Olso, Norway

Although Oslo is Norway's capital, it's probably never on the limelight of most heated vacation destinations. However, things are now started to change. It's time you shouldn't underestimate this lovely, modern city and what it has to offer to its tourists.

Located on the country's southern coast, it is renowned for its tall skyscrapers, modern lifestyle, cold weather, worth-visiting museums, and a large chunk of green spaces. All this combination of qualities in a single town makes Oslo one of the must-visit places in Europe at least once in a lifetime.

If you’re an avid lover of history, be sure to start your journey with the Viking Ship Museum. The museum houses three 9th-century Viking Ships. You can also attend various events happening all around the year.

From kid-friendly places like the Vigeland Park, Holmenkollen Ski Museum, to outdoor attractions like Olso Winter Park, Kollensvevet Zipline, restaurants, and more, the city gives you countless things to do and enjoy. So, be sure to visit Norway’s capital at least once to have an enriching and unforgettable travel experience.

If you have the opportunity to travel to any of these places, which one would you choose?

I should take advantage of when I was studying in Italy to visit more European countries. But, I didn't do it just because I have a limitation of my spending. However, I agree with the list here, Nikhil. Europe is an astounding continent to explore. Thanks for sharing.
