Toledo Ohio has some of the best and most unique entertainment around, with just over seven different live performances to choose from, you're guaranteed to find something that'll pique your interest. The live entertainment that is located in the Northwest Ohio region includes The Valentine Theatre, The Toledo Symphony Orchestra, The Toledo Opera, The Stranahan Theater, the Owens Center for Fine and Performing Arts, The Toledo Repertoire Theatre, The Toledo Ballet, and The Theater League.

The Toledo Botanical Gardens
The Toledo Botanical Gardens has forty-two years in operation and over sixty acres. Located on Elmer Drive in Toledo, It's a place to see. In itself it's just a very large, beautiful garden, but it's also used for many other things including artistic, musical, and wedding events. If you have a chance to see it then I would highly suggest it, When you're there you're surrounded by nothing but gorgeous nature.

If you are feeling especially artistic then you may want to visit the Toledo Museum of Art. With a collection that includes over thirty-thousand works of art which rank among some of the finest in the nation, you're sure to be inspired. If, instead, you're feeling historic then you can also check out any of the three historical museums located in Northwest Ohio including the Firefighters Museum, The Toledo Police Museum and the SS Col. James M. Schoonmaker Museum Ship.

Northwest Ohio is the home to the Toledo Mud Hens, the Toledo Walleye Hockey, and the University of Toledo Athletics. Other sporting activities located around the area of Toledo include Raceway Park, the Toledo Speedway, and a large selection of golf courses including the Ottawa Park Golf Course, the Spuyten Duyval Golf Course, the Detwiler Golf Course, the Maumee Bay State Park Golf Course, and the Collins Park Golf Course, among quite a few others in the area.
Northwest Ohio Drive in Movie Theaters
Take a trip back in time and enjoy a couple movies from the comfort of your car. Northwest Ohio has two drive in movie theatres that you may want to take advantage of including the Field of Dreams Drive In located in Liberty Center Ohio where the price of admission covers the cost of two movies and the Sundance Kid Drive where admission covers one movie located in Oregon Ohio. They Both require a food and drink permit if it's brought from outside the theater grounds.
Northwest Ohio Indoor Movie Theaters
If you're looking for something a little bit more modern or just to get out of the overbearing weather for a few hours then Toledo Ohio has five different indoor movie theatres in the area that you can choose from including Westfield Franklin Park's Rave Cinemas, Fallen Timbers Rave Cinemas, Levis Commons Rave Cinemas, Skye Cinema located in Wauseon and the Maumee Indoor Theatre.
The Toledo Zoo in Northwest Ohio
A fun activity for children of all ages to enjoy, some of the exhibits here include an aquarium, a hippoquarium, an African savanna, and even a children's zoo where your kids can explore nature in a more hands on way. Make sure to bring extra money so you can take advantage of the many rides they have to offer including the African Animal Carousel, the Vintage Carousel and the Safari Railway Train.
Metroparks in and around Toledo Ohio
While you're in the area you can take your pets to, bike and exercise at, or just take a leisurely stroll through, one of the six metroparks in Northwest Ohio. These metroparks include Swan Creek and WildWood Preserve located in Toledo, Side Cut located in Maumee, Pearson located in Oregon, Secor Metropark located in Berkey, and Oak Openings located in Swanton. Have fun without paying a dime.

Northwest Ohio African Safari Park
Located in Port Clinton Ohio and featuring both walk through and drive through safaris, the African Wildlife Safari Park is a fun and refreshing alternative to the zoo. You can get up close and personal with all the animals listed, visitors are provided pellets and allowed to feed them. The animals included are Bison, Zebra, Sika Deer, Scottish Highlander, Giraffe, Bongo, Llamas, Camels and many more.
State Memorials and Parks in Northwest Ohio
You can stop in at one of the four state memorials or visit one of the two state parks. The four state memorials in Northwest Ohio include Fort Meigs State Memorial, Fort Miamis State Memorial, Glacial Grooves State Memorial and, last but not least, Fallen Timbers State Memorial. The two State Parks located in Northwest Ohio include Maumee Bay State Park and Crane Creek State Park.
