Places to visit: Places to visit in Egypt

Updated on May 24, 2011

Why should you visit Egypt

A lot of people think that Egypt is just museums and pyramids, but the truth is that this country offers a lot more. It's true to start your tour in Egypt you will visit the Holy Land which include visiting various Islamic, Christian and Pharaonic historical sites together, and this is all known as religious monuments. There are lots of places to visit in Egypt more than what you are probably aware of. You can visit a lot of nature linked locations, beach, resorts and much more.

I agree with everybody that no other place in the world holds more mystery than Egypt does. The mysticism of the ancient Egyptians is still persisting in mind. Any classic tour of Egypt will focus on historical sites linked to Ancient Egypt. Most tourists usually come to the country for a period of 10 to 14 days, to visit locations that are most popular in egypt  such as

Pyramids At Giza

Secrets of the pyramidal structure

Researches found that the room where the king is laying is in the exact center of the pyramids. Some researches found that if you put a piece of meat or an egg exactly in the middle of a pyramidal structure, it doesn't rot. You can search the Internet to find more about secrets of pyramidal structure.

The riddle of sphinx

This is one of the most mysterious structures in Egypt. Nobody has discovered yet its origin and the purpose it was made for.

Temples of Karnak

It's considered the biggest site for Egyptian worship. It has monuments to every god in the ancient Theban religion.

Wall Paints in the valley of kings

The valley of kings

It's a place where most of esteemed egyptian pharaohs were buried. This place is teeming with mummies and undiscovered treasures. It's the place where they found the most famous mummy in the world "The mummy of Tutankhamun".

The nile river at night

The Nile River

The Nile river is the longest river, rising in east central Africa and and flows northward. It passes through Egypt before emptemptying into the Mediterranean Sea. If you are looking for relaxation , Nile cruises visit several charming sites, that have the smell of the history.

Yes oelshazli, this is true. Even during revolution men and boys used to protect their houses and their neighbors' houses.

It's pleasure to try coming to Egypt these days. The weather now is wonderful in Egypt, may be before Easter some sand storm might attack but it doesn't stay more than hours and the nice spring weather comes back. It's very safe now in Egypt, my daughter came home last night at 12:30, she doesn't drive yet she's just 17 so she always rides a public bus or a taxi, and believe me people after revolution became more caring.

Lovely hub, I'd love to go there. Isn't Egypt a bit of a hot spot right now, with some political unrest that makes it somewhat unsafe for tourists?
