Museum Boijmans van Beuningen
Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen is one of the finest museums in Europe. There's a permanent collection with works from all periods of Dutch and European art, including the Old Masters. Some highlights are "De Zondvloed" by Jheronimus Bosch, "De drie Maria's aan het graf" by Van Eyck, "De Toren van Babel" by Pieter Bruegel, and "Titus aan de Lezenaar" by Rembrandt.
The museum also has a fine collection of surrealistic art, with works from Duchamp, Margritte and Man Ray.
The museum has a good café and a fine sculpture garden.

Katendrecht for Foodies
This trendy place where foodies come together was once the infamous prostitution zone of Rotterdam. This change This transformation was mainly possible because of the collective initiative Fenix Food Factory. All products in this former warehouse are produced locally and are soled by a mix of entrepreneurs, all leaving their mark on the local food scene.
You'll find Cheese, Cider, Coffee, Beer, Fruits and Veggies and a bar which is open until 23:00.

The Euromast is 185 meters high and was built in 1960. The tower gives an unparalleled 360 degrees view over Rotterdam from the observation-platform at a hight of 100 meters. You can enjoy lunch, a high tea or a high wine in the brasserie.
During Summer it's possible to rappel from the tower and there's even a possibilty to spent the night here in one of the two suites.

The Erasmusbrug is the ultimate symbol of Rotterdam. Because of it's gracious style it obtained the nickname "The Swan". Walk the 800 meters over the River Maas in the evening, the bridge has fabulous lights then !
Hotel New York
The former headquarters of the Holland-America Line (HAL) offers a splendid view on the "Kop van Zuid" area, amazing dinner option (including an oyster-bar), a hairdresser and water-taxi transporting people over the Nieuwe Maas to the center of the city.
The rooms in the hotel look authentic, but have been renovated thoroughly. The style ranges from standard to special, like old boardrooms with fire places and wooden accents.

Witte de With Center for Contemporary Art
The Witte de With Center for Contemporary Art, founded in 1990, follows worldwide developments in Contemporary Art. The experimental exhibitions, installations and events have a sharp social and political focus and the Center is known as a stepping stone for new talent.
Every Friday evening a Art-Evening is organized. Besides free admission there's a guided tour starting at 19:00.

Only 3 kilometers south of the center of Rotterdam you can find Delfshaven, once the official sea-harbor for the city of Delft. Delfshaven survived World War II undamaged and has managed to maintain the atmosphere of a small village.
Besides many historical sites you can visit the brewery or one of the many art galleries located in beautiful historical buildings. It's easy to reach Delfshaven by foot, bicycle, trams 4 or 8, or by subway in the direction of station Delfshaven.
Street Art Rotterdam
Rotterdam is not only a gallery of architectural highlights: the streets are also full of art. More than 60 sculptures are spread throughout the city, and every year more are added.
Many are from renown artist, like Paul McCarthy's Santa Claus from 2001 (you find at at the Eendrachtsplein) and Picasso's concrete sculpture Sylvette from 1970 (Westersingel), which he designed together with the Norwegian artist Carl Nesjar.
Visit The Van Nelle Factory
This "palace of glass" is a former coffee, tea and tobacco factory. Built between 1925 and 1931. this is a real 20th century icon. Today the building is packed with designs-studio's and although the venue is on the UNESCO World Heritage List, it's closed for the public.
You can book a 75-minutes tour with the Urban Guides though.
