Thunderbird 500

The Royal Enfield has been selling the Thunderbird in India since the year 2000, it was updated in 2009 the motorcycle comprehensively by introducing the 499 cc unit construction engine (UCE) that now powers all their 500cc models.

In this model Royal Enfield added a well padded comfortable seat and handle bars have been placed higher that facilitates more comfortable rides. In October 2012, Royal Enfield launched updated version of The Thunderbird 500, featuring a jewel shaped fuel tank, digital instruments and fuel gauge and a projector headlamp. The Thunderbird 350 is available in five different colours.

Additionally, the motorcycle gets an LED tail light. Its fuel tank capacity is 20 litre that allow you to travel a long distance with a newly positioned fuel helps you feel it up to the brim. It comes with ready fit for saddle and a carrier bag for long trips so you can carry.

The Thunderbird 500 uses a single cylinder, 4stroke, 499cc engine that offers 27.2 bhp of power at 5,250rpm and 41.3 Nm of torque at 4,000rpm. This air cooled unit is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. It has recently been updated with the option of ABS for a very small premium over the standard model.

Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500 weighted 197 kg and gives a mileage of 30 kilometre per litre. It is available in four colours. Square swing arm rear suspension make it easy to ride on mountain and climbs.
