Live the history. The village of Pyrgos Kallistis- this is the full name of the village meaning the most beautiful tower- has a long history. Pyrgos is one of the five castles cities of the island and was the capital of Santorini for centuries. Today the history of Pyrgos is alive throughout the village and its museums. The castle city is well-preserved and in many spots you can see the architecture of the 15th century. Also in the village of Pyrgos you will see many mansions, symbols of the prosperity and wealth of the island during the 18th century.

The Union of Cooperatives of Therian Products built at the entrance of Pyrgos village is home to the biggest winery on the island. It has also a café with terraces and breathtaking views, where you can enjoy wine tastings and also buy local products. Also, at the square of Pyrgos village you can buy products exclusively produced on the island of Santorini.
