Historical Sites

The first Springfield Station was built after 1851 on a farm owned by Henry Daingerfield, set beside the Orange and Alexandria Railroad. This site is also remembered for a Civil War conflict on October 3, 1861 and a Confederate raid on August 3, 1863.
