Sentosa Hotels: Singapore Luxury

Updated on June 3, 2013

Sentosa Island Singapore

The island of peace and tranquility, as this is what Sentosa means, is a unique Asian island, part of Singapore, with exclusive and luxury resorts, 6 theme hotels that feature the famous Universal Studios theme park Singapore, 2 km white sand beach, lush floating islets, and lots of tourist attractions.

Sentosa Island is a unique spot in the world, as it is also home to Sentosa Cove - a luxury marina residential area, where people can live in a lush tropical resort, while also being not far from Singapore center.

Besides the wonderful theme park and theme luxury hotels, on Sentosa Island there are two golf courses: The Serapong and The Tanjong. These courses and the club set the backdrop for the Singapore Open for eight years running and is the host venue for the HSBC Women’s Champions.

The tourism statistics say that Sentosa welcomes each year more than 5 million tourists, and is an important aspect of placing Singapore in the world top places of where to live, work and play.

Resorts World Sentosa

The main tourism attraction in Singapore is Resorts World Sentosa, an integrated resort that includes 6 theme hotels with ultimate luxury accommodations and services, the only Southeast Asia Universal Studios theme park, the largest oceanarium in the world, wellness centers and spas, a casino, gourmet restaurants and designer outlets.

This is a multi-billion dollars resort, opened in 2010 and is definitely the best place to stay in Singapore if you're there for leisure purpose and if your budget allows, as one night per double room in one of the 6 hotels within the Resorts World starts at $200, but you'll be paying for a unique experience.

Capella Hotel Sentosa

Besides the 6-theme hotels that are part of the integrated Resorts World Sentosa there are other luxury hotels on the island. Judging by the rating the hotel has on the most popular booking engine on the web ( I would say this is the best hotel in Sentosa.

The price for a room starts somewhere at $475 per night for double occupancy, but the price is fair for what you get when being a guest of Capella Singapore.

Reading through the reviews posted on (there are the most reliable, as only people who made reservations through their website, confirmed and stayed at the hotel, may post reviews) I found lots of interesting details about the perception of the guests of Capella hotel in Sentosa.

Most of the reviews sound like this: "The experience was simply ... magical! We'll definitely be back."

"I was blown away at the level of comfort and luxury at Capella. Although I had only booked a standard room, I felt I had walked into the equivalent of any other hotel's suite. The space, design, and comfort of the room was perfect."

For more reviews you can go on the website and check it out, and if you want to explore the resort you can go to their official website:
