Signs You May be Counting Down for a Cruise
Let the Count Down Begin!
Ah, there's nothing like a cruise vacation. It is a fun filled adventure on the bright blue sea. It's a time to relax and sail away to paradise. But, as most cruisers know, the countdown to a booked cruise can be painful. You may be suffering from what I call "Cruise-Countdown-itus" if you are currently displaying one or more of the following signs:
1) You have found yourself mindlessly daydreaming of the crisp, blue ocean or those refreshing cool drinks more than once this week. Earth to future cruiser! Wake up!
You have caught yourself doodling ocean waves, dolphins, sunshine or cruise ships on your notes or to-do list.
Move over Facebook and Text Messenger, the Ship's app is currently the most used item on your mobile device.
You can't leave a store without picking up something that "will be useful or fun to bring a long on the cruise!"
You have completed more research about your ports of call then you did in all your years of high school geography.
You have had to ask yourself "Is 2 months before the trip too early to start packing?"
You waste less and less money each day closer to the trip. That $5 coffee? Nah, that's an extra souvenir you could bring back from the cruise instead!
Your friends and family are tired of hearing you talk about the cruise. You find you have to remind yourself that not everyone is as excited about your vacation as you, especially those not coming along
You have a daily countdown ritual. Rather it's the use of a mobile app or another source...just as long as you know exactly how many days, hours, minutes and seconds it is until you can board your ship.
Time appears to have slowed down. Each work or school day now feels like a whole month. And sad thing is, you know time won't speed up any... That is until you step foot on your cruise ship!
It will be here before you know it!
If you are experiencing one or more of the mentioned symptoms, chances are you have a cruise booked. Do not seek medical help. Just keep daydreaming, researching, talking, packing and anything to help pass the time. Your cruise will be here before you know it!
