Some of the BEST All-Inclusive Vacation Resorts for You & Your Family! Rodeo to Scuba...Something for Everyone!

Updated on February 23, 2010

Spring break is right around the corner…are you ready? Have you made your travel plans? If not, don't worry, there is still time as spring break deals are everywhere (think, internet people…don't be afraid to search!). Due to the lack-luster economy, spring break as well as summer vacation deals are in abundance! Now is the time to plan!

If you are anything like me then you like to take the "all inclusive" route. There's nothing like going to an all inclusive resort…ordering anything off the menu that your little heart desires…and not having to worry about paying the bill at the end of the meal. Yes, your waist-line may suffer…but hey, you are on vacation…check your diet at the door (or should I say cabana)! If you want to plan an all-inclusive vacation for your family, then you have come to the right place. Below are a few of my favorite all-inclusive resorts. Oh, and my family is pretty fond of these places too!

Check Out These All-Inclusive Family Resorts!

First up, the Hyatt Regency Hill Country All Inclusive Resort located in San Antonio, Texas. This all inclusive resort is suitable for children ages three to twelve. This cowboy and Indian themed resort is sure to please the little buck-a-roo in your family. Activities include the rodeo, arrowhead searching, nature hikes and of course coyote-spotting (who doesn't like searching for and spotting coyotes! No petting allowed). Not only are there many things to do at "Camp Hyatt," you are in driving distance to other thrilling attractions such as Six Flags, Sea World, the Natural Bridge Caverns and of course, the Alamo!  If you and your family want to skip the beach this summer, consider visiting the Hyatt Regency Country All Inclusive Resort, you will be glad you did (be sure to ask for all inclusive packages when you inquire!).

Next, I'd like to tell you about Hawk's Cay Resort in Duck Key, Florida. Now my family loves to scuba dive (I have my open water certification through PADI) so this resort is one of our absolute favorites! Nestled in the heart of the Florida Keys (can you say BEAUTIFUL!), this sixty acre all inclusive resort is well, breath-taking! If your family loves the water (as mine does!) then this resort will certainly fit the bill as water activities are the main attraction. From scuba diving to sailing…there is something for everyone. Have an environmentalist in your family? If so, you will want to join one of the daily eco-tours! Can you say educational as well as fun? This resort is surrounded by the only living coral reef in the continental United States…therefore, snorkeling is an absolute MUST! For those who enjoy fishing, they also have fly and deep sea fishing excursions. Hawk's Cay Resort is definitely worth checking into if you are looking for a "fun in the sun" all inclusive vacation for you and your family.

The Sanctuary is located on Kiawah Island, South Carolina. Though "The Sanctuary" may not sound like an all inclusive resort…trust me, it is! This resort (which is housed in a huge mansion) has over 200 spacious rooms and suites. In a nutshell, kids LOVE the activities and programs available at this resort. The "Kiawah Kids" Program offers many fun things to do including, nature walks, face painting, crabbing, swimming, a variety of sports, nature walks and scavenger hunts. While the kids are busy crabbing, you can relax at the spa! Ranked number two in the United States by Travel and Leisure Magazine, the Sanctuary Spa offers massage escapes, facial treatments, body treatments, wellness life-style coaching and so much more! If you are looking for a relaxing, all inclusive get-away…the Sanctuary may be the resort for you and your family! Oh, and before I forget…of course, there is golfing as well!

This next all inclusive resort is wonderful if you are an avid golfer as there are THREE championship golf courses as well as tennis, swimming  and a spa! The Greenbrier, which is located in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia is a national historic landmark. While you are busy golfing or getting a massage at the spa…your children can participate in one of the many programs that are available not only during the day…but during the evening as well. The programs combine artistic and intellectual enrichment with physical and outdoor activities. The Greenbrier is absolutely beautiful! From single rooms to estate houses, this all inclusive resort aims to please.

So there you have it...four of my favorite resorts that have all inclusive packages available. Though times are tough and money is tight, if you plan ahead and do your homework (search the internet!) you CAN find great get-away deals! Whether you want to get away for a weekend or a week, there's bound to be a vacation package that suite your needs. So what are you waiting for…start planning your all inclusive get away today! Bon Voyage!
